Bon anniversaire, Marquis de Lafayette! Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier was born September 6, 1757, better known as the Marquis de Lafayette. A French general, he was a celebrated hero of the American Revolution, abolitionist, and a beloved friend of George Washington. After the American War of Independence, he returned to France and participated in the early years of the French Revolution, even sending George Washington the key to the infamous Bastille prison.
Lafayette paid an extended visit to Mount Vernon in 1784. The room where he stayed has been newly restored and officially reopened on Bastille Day, July 14, 2022. Curator Adam T. Erby takes viewers on a tour of the Lafayette Bedchamber.

Went to Mount Veron in April ,My son and me still talk about it,its a bucket list item for sure.

Was able to visit during Independence Day and enjoyed the mansion tour. Our guides were so knowledgeable about the items in the rooms. Will definitely return. 💕

I would have liked to see the fire place. I have been to Mt. Vernon and enjoyed the quick tour.

As members we visit the Estate many times a year with a Mansion visit usually in the fall and winter, when the crowds are small! Looking forward in a few months to see your efforts. The one thing he didn't bring up: Why is there a dark patch of wall paper over his shoulder about eye level with the Marquis?

After looking at it, yes it does initially look like writing but I think it's from something outside. I don't think they would keep writing on the window especially since they were filming a video.

Wow, dude, buy a suit that fits. Control your homey accent, and take a more relaxed style of speaking, so that it is clear that you are comfortable with and love the space you are working in. If you can't do it and it doesn't work for the video, then train someone more photogenic and help them do the best they can. Just a few hints so you don't piss me off ever again. Holy crap.
