Probably the first and last time they played this song in the original key. Absolutely kick ass and Richie is a god! Wish they continued to play their songs in their original keys for just a bit longer tho

There are other times but this one is really good, there’s one bad one in 97 but check out some of the early 1988 versions I bet he try to sing all studio phrasing there

Hugh McDonald is a world-class bass player who has earned his place in the band and has technically been a shadow member since 1983. Alec John Such was kept in the band for the most part because of his sex appeal which, for all intents and purposes, Hugh McDonald doesn't have and never particularly did. Alec is also a great bass player, but he wasn't in the band because of that, he was in the band because he was an experienced seasoned rockstar prior to that.
