"I'm so far away that each step that I take is on my way home" "the blonde" in his bed could be his guitar.. "while my mistress she calls me to stand in her spotlight again" the mistress is obviously the music, he wants to go home but he can't because they have to play... So it's quite possible that he's crying, cause it brings back the memories :-( like I said, this is my opinion.^^
