Iam a bit ashamed to admit it, but i never really listened to Bon Jovi till i heard this song in a TV Show Supernatural, sang by Jansen Ackles, and since then, i love this song and so many others from Bon Jovi... but this one is my favourite.

Great reaction. The first concert I ever went to was in Rochester, NY. in 1984 which was near where I was stationed in the army. The concert was Bon Jovi opening for the Scorpions. Great concert.

Feel the same way. When I was young I heard the song. When i got older I LISTENED to the song. Bon Jovi still around. Last album was 2020. They're music has calmed down a bit in the last 10 years. Lost its edge, but they were still pretty good up until about 2013.

*BON JOVI have a lot of classic songs, but my DIE HARD- fan-times are focused on the RICHIE SAMBORA -- era. As long SAMBORA [ Legendary longtime (1983-2013) BON JOVI-Leadguitarist, backing singer & co-songwriter ] was in the band, it was alright, even if the high times were already a bit in the past. I highly recommend the stuff from the SAMBORA-era and also SAMBORA's soloalbums "Stranger In This Town" (1991), "unDiscovereD soul" (1998) and "Aftermath Of The Lowdown" (2012).* 🔥🔥🎵🎸🎹😈🥁🎸🎵🔥🔥

Hey, I like some Bon Jovi songs but could never really connect with the lyrics. I know this will probably be missed by people from outside the angloshere, but to many from that area, there are far too many cliches and dramatic cloying to the band. One group of people from the anglosphere see them dressed up like a bunch of roosters displaying their egos and say these guys are a bunch of . . . . (Well, I'll let you fill in the end.) Whenever he says, "on a steel horse I ride," it shows not a simple pickup truck or something less pretentious, but a limo the first time and a Lear Jet the the next. And I know it may not be the band's fault but showing a fan grabbing at the feet of the lead singer as if he's a God just would never make the grade with a different type of audience. Don't know if you detected any of this yourselves but didn't want to say it, but it sure stands out for some of us. Of course I heard this music growing up and there are aspects of the music-vocals combination that are really attractive in some songs, as long as you don't listen too closely to what they're saying (or watch them while they're saying it). They would clearly be categorized as a "big hair band" that sort of divided the country at the time between those who listen to it and those who were listening to Punk and New Wave and then later to Grunge "garage bands" where the lyrics and attitudes were much more self reflective and their wardrobes made up of whatever they had in their closets.
