Frondi tenere e belle
del mio platano amato,
per voi risplenda il fato.
Tuoni, lampi, e procelle
non v'oltraggino mai la cara pace,
né giunga a profanarvi
austro rapace.
Fanfare magazine

well he blocked me again so i'll just write my bit here...Well, I am glad you admit that only 1% of your cult is drinking the Kool-Aid. However, animals and eating a balanced diet that does not demand increases in child labor, spreading labor to livestock that is regulated by the government here in the United States, which is not exactly stellar regulation, and believe me, very flawed. It's a lot more than what other countries have to offer, where a great number of our fruits and vegetables come from for those who live in urban areas that don't have land nor the ability to have their own gardens. While it's true that a significant portion of agricultural land is used for livestock, not all of this land is suitable for growing crops. Grazing animals can utilize land that is unsuitable for crops, such as marginal pastureland. Additionally, much of the feed grown for livestock is not suitable for human consumption, as it consists of byproducts from food processing or crops unsuitable for direct human consumption. And you're still ignoring the fact that you drive a death machine, killing countless animals that I find it socially acceptable to eat almonds and risk the lives of my family members driving to non-essential things like bingo. However, YOU DON'T!! So yes, I am accusing you of being a bad person. You have to come to grips with the fact that you are not making any movement toward the livestock industry, and you don't have any other alternative in mind to keep everyone happy, including your cult. The horror stories we will hear about in the coming years, just like all the other KZfaq 84% that failed the vegan and vegetarian diet. If the environment is one of your three concerns, then stop having children and tell your 1% to stop having children as well; all you are doing is increasing the death of animals. I left some little website to show you how well vegans are doing at the bottom. ENJOY.... www.google.com/search?q=mcdonalds+tock&oq=mcdonalds+tock&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i10i131i433i512l2j0i10i512j0i10i131i433i512j0i10i512l5.3871j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#cso=chart-annotations-carousel:444 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMx1p7Jhlaq3pn0.htmlsi=ySIJNBtwbYi7oGX0 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pJqAdNd4vtDPlIk.htmlsi=YlHaPYymKCLN1LG3 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ecinlNmZ1r_ckaM.htmlsi=ecYIA4XANh-OHNzo Ps. I love to know were the success stories of those who have been vegan for more then 5 to 10 years. Comment from a user- id think I share IT CHECKS out…All off nature is evidence. Every successful species on earth has evolved and is designed to eat a specific diet. We are not ruminants. We do not have the ability to break down cellulose cell wall in plants efficiently, and also require 23 amino essential amino acids which cannot all be obtained through plant based diets. This is often why vegans can be overweight and also malnourished at same time and the reason medical consensus supports balanced diet vs veganism or any other exclusion diet .

I consider this performance a masterpiece for the following reason: The short and clean note without vibrato (2:28) makes it seem like he’s breathless and brings a very emotional character to the end of the piece.

The main thing is it being short, at least for me. Notice how the strings sound very clean. Vibrato was only carefully used in the baroque period, unfortunately many who interpret the pieces don't pay attention to that.

@Gottenhimfella
@Gottenhimfella Жыл бұрын
I don't have any way of knowing how true it is, because prior to recording, it is not possible to verify just how music sounded, but I have heard a plausible theory that vibrato only came into prominent use because early recording techniques had a lot of pitch variation, and it was a way of making it less distracting

I'd never heard this piece being performed, nor had I encountered this man prior to watching this video. I must admit that I didn't read the video title completely, and so a counter tenor voice coming from a man looking like Clark Kent was definitely unexpected.

That note at 2:23 is heavenly, and here Scholl really makes the difference with other interpretations as he uses no vibrato and finishes the note early and very neatly, thus giving the impressions he is breathless at the end of this note which brings the emotion to its fullest. Probably the best version of this piece.

Ruoyu Xu, No, you are quite right. Ombra Mai Fu isn't for funerals. Händel didn't compose in a time of secular music. So, regardless of the meaning of the music then, to our modern ears anything Baroque sounds very serious and stylised. I give also the recitative which, as typically, puts you right in the picture of the subject matter of the aria: Frondi tenere e belle Del mio Platano amato, Per voi risplenda il Fato Tuoni, Lampi e Procelle Non v'oltraggino mai la cara pace, Ne giunga a profanarvi Austro rapace. Ombra mai fu Di Vegetabile, Care ed amabile Soave piu Tender and beautiful fronds of my beloved plane tree, Let Fate smile upon you. May thunder, lightning and storms never bother your dear peace, Nor may you by blowing winds be profaned. Never was made A plant (vegetable) more dear and loving or gentle. Talking about music at funerals, I want the "Vier Letzte Lieder" ("Four Last Songs") of Richard Strauss sung by Gundula Janowitz at my funeral. Don't know yet which one of the four.

If you have any sort of romantic streak in your heart this song will move you and move you repeatedly. Many people I've met are too closed off to their emotions to get to the heart of this music. It's the the purest expression of love I've heard. A modern song that convey the same feeling to me is In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.

Andreas Scholl, your voice is arguably the greatest countertenor voice to have ever graced human kind. When you open your mouth to start "Ombra Mai fu" the stillness, control and effortless build is something to be remembered in history books! When I auditioned for multiple European Cathedral positions this was my piece. Pure inspiration.And for those of you out there who do not recognize the beauty of and difficulty of the counter tenor voice, it is a treasure and rare. It takes a real man to sing like this!!!

"why anyone would hate on this is beyond me", The world abounds in misery, which, having given up, wants only to cloak everything in darkness. To no avail. The title translates from the Italian as "Never was a shade". It is sung by the main character, Xerxes I of Persia, admiring the shade of a plane tree. Tender and beautiful fronds of my beloved plane tree, let Fate smile upon you. May thunder, lightning, and storms never disturb your dear peace, nor may you by blowing winds be profaned. Never was a shade of any plant dearer and more lovely, or more sweet.
