Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.
In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. Every year throws up new and completely unexpected challenges, and how lifeguards adapt is what makes Bondi Rescue a show that’s about much more than swimmers being saved in the surf.

Yeah, funny that. I live in the "sharkiest place on Earth".....NEVER seen one, and we live 5 minutes away from a beach where some of those shark deaths have happened (and a few bites that didnt result in death)........believe it or not most West Aussies live to healthy old age despite swimming at our local beaches.

@heatherrowles2580 I live on the South West coast. I've seen Port Jackson sharks, but nothing else. There was a shark attack at our main beach 16 years ago, and another along the coast, which was fatal. Great Whites are tagged when caught, and we have buoys to alert us if one is coming too close.

Updates on some of the lifeguards Jesse quit after an alleged drug bust he was in around 2018-2019 (I forgot the date). And kerrbox is not there after he was charged with with stalk and intimidate after sending threatening messages to his ex-girlfriend. Matt dee (I assume) is helping with mental health research after losing two of his siblings to bipolar disorder and scriznophenia And bisho after taking a small look is probably a firefighter after seeing a photo of him beside a red truck with red and blue lights. Nicola suffered an overdose of alcohol and sleeping pills. I will update this comment if I find more update.

Random fact: sharks actually don't attack humans without reason and they don't come for you if you're bleeding, it's a myth. Sharks are calm and curious animals and they only attack if they feel threatened or if they have been REALLY starving. That's why the people who swim with sharks are able to do that, the sharks doesn't feel threatened by humans when they are not in dangerous situation like for example too close to the land. They can be scared too you know... But I would never swim with sharks myself ':D

@C A great whites will mainly mistake ya for a sea turtle if your surfing as the board acts as a shell and obviously your limbs would be the turtles, sea turtles are apparently a fave for great whites

I did a 12 kilometer swim 2 years ago. That shit is excruciating. The waves play a huge factor to your performance and if you stop even for a sec, you'll get swept back and you'll have to start over again.
