I can't speak to this edited video, but generally these things do not resolve separation anxiety. While giving treat puzzles to dogs is great in general, there are many dogs who will not eat from them when they are distressed, or will eat and then panic afterwards - which means the anxiety is not actually resolved. And by providing one, it messes up our evaluation of how long a dog actually is comfortable - because dogs can use puzzle toys for different amounts each time. Desensitization does not equal ignoring dogs for 15 minutes pre- and post-returning, it refers to exposing a dog to something that scares him (being left alone), but at a level that does not scare him and then very gradually building upon that to increase the amount of time a dog is comfortable alone. This takes many repetitions over time. It is true that it helps for people not to make a huge deal upon returning or leaving, but that is not the solution in and of itself. It's a challenging issue to deal with, but it gets more confusing with some dogs having more of a medical issue that a symptom is separation anxiety. There are also dogs who are more frustrated at being left alone, rather than having actual separation anxiety, and for these dogs increasing enrichment: puzzle toys, walks with sniffing, running off-leash, play, attention, etc. will help them. They are more bored/frustrated, and their owners leaving predict more frustration from being alone.

I switched to cooking my dogs food from scratch because he wouldnt touch dry kibble. He eats with no problem now, as well as freeze dried beef liver treats. His absolute favorite

he understood commands spoken in english so probably at least used to both languages

Not always possible or a cure either. Some people don't want to take on another dog.

only helps if the separation is specifically because he's lonely this ain't being lonely, this is not knowing how to deal with not being lavished with attention 24/7

just "getting another dog" isnt that simple lol, its a huge deal its not just a simple quick thing you can just do whenever you want
