Cyndi Lauper starred in several episodes of bones is the psychic “Avalon“. I don’t know why I was surprised that they would have her singing at their wedding…… But I am absolutely blown away by her rendition of this song!

loveGG3 I think they would both be unavailable. This was a last minute wedding Jared doesn't live in the area. Rus is in prison and last minute releases are hard to get.

***** It wasn't REALLY last minute. I mean it was last minute that they actually went through with it and at the Jeffersonian but it was always going to be on that day. Plus, Booth's son was there. He lives in Europe with his mom, he clearly had plenty of notice to get there in time. And Russ isn't in prison anymore, I'm pretty sure he was released awhile ago. So no matter where either of them were living they should've been able to be there. Or at the very least they could've mentioned them and made up some excuse for them not to be there. The show just ignores the fact that BOTH of them have brothers.

Cyndi has used a coach ever since she lost her voice in the late seventies,listen to her voice when she was in Blue Angel singing I’m Going To Be Strong 1980,she was magnificent and even in the mid eighties when she became famous her voice was a thing of wonder!

That's one of many things wrong with things today. Women not excepting the role God made them for. A woman was created for man by the rib of Adam. Not so man could control them, but love and take care of them. Jesus commanded the Husband to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. A woman who excepts this role by honoring God first, and who has a husband who has God first and obeys how he should love his wife, that woman is blessed and happy. Listen to the women who find this out. It's not about he's better or she's not worthy. It's about honoring a Holy God who loves you.

Oh, gosh, really? It's BONES! Of course she's gonna say that; for one thing, she's an atheist, for another, she's very strong and independent and if she hadn't met Booth, she would have stayed a cold, rational person for the rest of her life! That's why Booth exists! Like Ripley said, keep your religion to yourself. It's your opinion, but don't be rude about it.

No. Cyndi isn't Etta. But- name anyone else who can do justice to Etta's "signature song" besides Cyndi, and not turn it into one massive vocal masturbation/caterwauling session. There isn't anyone else. Save the effort mentioning Beyonce and Xtina Agargulera. They tried. And failed.

Kelly Watts Obviously, I did miss what you were saying... No offense meant, Kelly. I meant that since Etta has passed on, no one else (especially the obnoxious, bovine duo I mentioned near the end of my comment) besides Cyndi, can do justice to Etta's signature song. If Etta were alive, hands down no one could come close to her. But, in her absence, Cyndi does respectable homage to her song. That's what I meant.My tastes run in many generations, spanning nearly seven decades. There are some people that can't be matched in this world, and remain "one of a kind". Etta was a performer of that ilk. One helluva lady.
