Michelle Steilen, also known in the roller derby world as Estro Jen is the owner of Moxi Roller Skates and Moxi Shop. She is a star in the Long Beach roller derby scene and she does a lot to push and promote anything and everything roller skating related. Since we make Rollerbones, our roller derby company, and all the roller derby ladies skate Bones Bearings, we wanted to do something to show support to all the derby ladies who support us. We came up with an idea to do something a little be different and decided to film some stuff at some famous skateboard spots in Los Angeles. We really had no idea how this would turn out. It takes a lot of skill and talent, but it also takes a lot of crashing and bouncing off the pavement to get to this level... I have so much respect and admiration for her

I live with my strict overprotective asian parents and it feels so suffocating being the only girl. I wish I can feel as free as this girl on the video. I want to try roller skating too but I bet it'd be restricted because it's too "dangerous." I feel like I can't even enjoy my teenage years and once I enter adulthood, it'd never be the same anymore. I still have 4 years left until I become 20 but I always feel like the time is so short. sorry for the small rant, must be the quarantine's fault.

Man this girl is too fucking legit. I can't stop watching videos of her skating! It motivates me to get to the park every day and practice. I wanna be like her someday!

This video did so many things for me a 14 year old; it inspired me to skate, it’s how I learned about bikini kill, and later on taught me what feminism was, this video was more revolutionary than most people think, I probably watched it like 100 times.

This made me weirdly emotional. I am in my early thirties and growing up, most of my best friends were skaters so I grew up watching videos like this and bemoaning that I couldn't skateboard. I am an adult now and I play derby and I feel strangely....embraced? Just that this video exists? Please make more of these!
