El terminal microusb tiene 5 pines apesar que zolo muestran 4 pines. Realmente tiene 5 pines 5v. d-. d+. st. gnd el pin de st y el de gnd debe ser soldado ambos. De esa forma queda 4 pines. Si no sueldan el pin st. El celular no debe reconocer el otg. A no ser que el micro usb ya venga soldado de fabrica. Si no uno mismo debe de soldarlo

I'D snip off a micro USB end & leave about 2 inches of cord strip the wires & solder the wires onto the led. Instead of going through that

it is conneted the the micro usb so there is the power souce when it plugs in to anything and also make a usb-C cable OTG so mac book pro users can not have to buy apples stuff if they dont want to go to the apple store

I think it will not work as OTG because there are only 4 pins you have soldered but OTG cable need 5 pins in Micro USB.
