Here I am walking in the city of Bonn in Western Germany in August 2022. We start our walk at the picturesque Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) which is in front of the market place. Then we continue to Münsterplatz where you can see this years "Wine Festival". Afterwards we will explore various streets and alleys within the city center before reaching the Beethoven House. The house at Bonngasse 20, where composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born in December 1770, is one of the few remaining houses in the city built in the 18th century. Its baroque stone facade was erected over cellars dating back to the 12th or 13th century. Bonn, which used to be the former capital of West Germany, is one of Germany's oldest cities. From 1597 to 1794, the city was the capital of the Electorate of Cologne, and residence of the Archbishops and Prince-electors of Cologne. From 1949 to 1990, the city was the capital of West Germany, and Germany's present constitution, the Basic Law, was declared in the city in 1949. From 1990 to 1999, Bonn served as the seat of government - but no longer capital - of reunited Germany. The city is also famously known as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Bonn is still one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Germany, if not THE most. However, since they moved the capital of Germany from Bonn to Berlin, it unfortunately has changed gradually. Still lots of students there, but the majority of people is rather bourgeois. The street style in this video gives a good indication for this.

Germany's beautiful! The infrastructure is aesthetically pleasing and everything seems so organized. I have lived in Australia for a couple of years and i have to say Australia can't hold a candle to Germany. I hope to move to Germany some day.

it was like that in Germany after the war in Ukraine started. the prices of food and life have been raised several times until we are talking about the prices of fuel and gas more than 10 times and with the influx of refugees everything is starting to be chaotic like in the past

The problem here ia that he was going about on a good day... usually you can really see the poverty here when walking around. Plus he only showed the good parts of the town, which is not that much. Living here for 17 years, you get everyday life better

I dont mean to pry but isnt it absolutely illegal to film people this close and personal secretly without their consent?
@JapanPotato
@JapanPotato Жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s absolutely illegal if the exact time and date of the video is shown (= surveillance camera video). This video is not a surveillance video, and falls in the same category as „street photography“ (= Art) and doesn’t have a exact date stamp, except for the month of August 2022. Yes, it’s absolutely illegal if the main focus of the video is „people“. Not the case here again, as the people are just random people appearing in public space (not private space) shortly in front of the subject/scenery we‘re filming (= the city center of Bonn). German television broadcast channels often show similar kind of city views with random people appearing, all uncensored. Source: Law office in Cologne
