That's a really bright sounding fiddle. I've heard some cigar box guitars that don't project as much. Great instrument and nice playing! I'm sure you've probably heard the old saying "how do you get to Carnegie Hall?" The answer being "practice, practice, practice". Thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank you very much for the compliments. It's fun learning the fiddle on one that I built.

It's first time I see this incredible instrument. Could you say something more about it, please? About its construction, specific of playing etc?

I know It's not probably the song you're learning but it sounds to me like the Irish "The orange and the green" song.

sweet I have put wood back to dry, I am going to try to make more sophisticated Arkansas moth bows than I made as a kid. If this works would you like one?

That sounds neat. I don't have any money right now, but im planning on selling an instrument soon, so that might make it possible. Thanks for thinking of me.

It almost sounds like The Southern Girl's Reply.

Back in the day is was not uncommon for songs to share the same tune from another song. It made it easier to learn to songs. Remember that not all people could necessarily read music let alone words. Even the our National anthem is sung to the tune to "Anacreon in Heaven."

@@1SemperDad the Irish did the same with The Rising of The Moon.
