I've been a fan of Bonnie Raitt for a long time. She has a remarkable voice and her guitar skills are obviously legendary. And , wow..... nothing compares to the harmonies/vocals of David Crosby and Graham Nash. I really enjoyed this performance. On the other hand, I've been a Linda Ronstadt fan for even longer. Her version of this song is my favorite. The video of her performing it on "ABC Concert 1973" does not have the harmony that was done so brilliantly in Bonnie Raitt's video. But Linda's voice alone is worth listening to.

As a surprise I took my wife to a concert for her birthday before COVID hit. James Taylor in concert with Bonnie Raitt. Two of her favorite artist. All I told her was to pack a bag and to expect to be gone for three days. She found out where, who, and what when she read the marquee. A few months earlier I had presented her with tickets to see John Prine in a newly renovated Opra House (ca. 1890) for our 14th wedding anniversary. The acoustics were awesome. Unfortunately Covid struck and took too many of our musicians, with John Prine being one of the first. I look forward to resuming our travels. My goal is to help her check off those entries on her bucket list when the opportunities arise.

@@marybaillie8907 thank you. We had planned to take the train across the entire Canadian southern boarder. We had reservations at all layover stops to explore parts Canada. The trip was for 36 days including a week in Seattle to visit friends. Then Covid hit and the boarder was closed. My wife had her third heart attack and we had to give up on that dream. Amtrak says we can use the fares for any trip, but she is no longer able. I would much rather have her beside me than to check off that item on our bucket lists. There are many others that we can enjoy that are not as stressful.

@@marybaillie8907 I took her on an Alaska cruise for our 10th anniversary and we both enjoyed our stopover in Vancouver. I am not in favor of the American law requiring foreign registered ships to stop in a foreign port when traveling between two American cities. I understand the issue with foreign ships taking a bite out of the American routes. Canada is free to enact whatever laws they choose. Anybody that chooses to bypass Vancouver is missing out on a wonderful experience. Great people and good food! I spent a 24 hour unscheduled layover in Gander Newfoundland. Again wonderful scenery, great people, and good food. I also enjoyed the chance to express my appreciation for all that little town did for the travelers stranded by President Bush's no fly over US order in response to the 9/11/2001 attacks. Words cannot express my admiration for all that the people of Gander accomplished. (Especially with so many Arrogant Americans!) I grew to hate the "Loco Gringo" acts that I witness in Panama, Honduras, and Guatemala. Now I get to add Gander to that list. Some of my compatriots forget their manners. As Jeff Dunham says, "Hell, I'm an American. I don't need beer to be obnoxious."

I was so touched, and I have to say I did bear a resemblance. As a matter of fact, one of them won me over for 6 months. He got a rambling itch, and moved on. This song was my go in the bedroom and cry him out of my life! Never heard this version, and I'm grateful for it! Thanks Harry! 100K is on its way! Been with you from your semi-early days.
