Both of these people are national treasures and irreplaceable. Bonnie is the coolest, smoothest, sexiest rhythmic slide player and vocalist and can play with anyone. Legends.

Too much rap crap and hip hop; ya’ll shuda stayed with a sure thing ~ classic blues! There are radio stations nationwide that play the “top 40” that no one wants to hear, why not a station dedicated to 60 yrs of blues?

Awesome memories of the greatest blues! In Gilroy, Ca. at my early breakfast, I twice sat by John Lee...and in '75 saw Bonnie at the Santa Cruz Civic. Just can not get any better!

This was great! We hear this man's music everywhere and all of the time! There's a bunch of rich people around today due to John Lee Hooker's music but, John Lee Hooker never saw any of that wealth. I have purchased music that I didn't realize was from this person. I have spent money that never went to this man! I !

chatty cathy : Not true. After he got with Mike Kappas, Mike made sure he got his due. Sure, the early years were full of cutthroats, but John Lee lived comfortably in his golden years. But then again, he never sold out. He did things his way. For him, it was always about the music rather than the money. But he made a ton of money along the way. Over a million dollars a year on the average. That's more than $3000 a day, every day. Not bad for a sharecropper's son from Mississippi.
