@Aleks22.07 and others excuse every dumb thing Elena does. I thought Caroline was the ditz initially but hey, there's more than one. And Elena still kissed Damon - she also said she didn't feel guilty that she did it - just that Stefan didn't know. Personally, why on earth would she think it appropriate to bother telling him anyway.

She continued to use him when it suited her, go to him when she wasn't happy with Stefan. When Stefan got a bit overindulgent and she kicked him off the bed and he hit the wall, next thing she's called Damon and he's over at the house. I mean, does that house only have a living room, kitchen and bedrooms? She could have spoken to him out front or in the back yard or any other unoccupied room in the house - but nooooooooooo, she takes him to her bedroom to talk. That's hardly normal. Even if I thought my boyfriend's brother could help with whatever was wrong with him, my bedroom is not where I'd take him.

Bonnie is the best! I think the show would be better just with Bonnie and Elena, without Caroline, because she was not a good friend. She would judge Elena, unlike Bonnie! They just know each other long, but sometimes that doesn’t mean anything (speaking from my own experience)

I mean yes it's not his fault that he had to leave and it's also not his fault that his humanity is/was off because he had no control over it. HOWEVER he kind of had his emotions on when trying to drive Elena off the Bridge her parents DIED on. Yes he was focusing all of his emotions on his anger but he had control over that situation and he still did it. Yes Damon has also done a lot of absolutely messed up things but could you forgive someone making you relive your biggest trauma like that?

@Aleks22.07 I didn't mean to sound like I was on Damon's side and I was not trying to downplay it by just saying he also has done some horrible things. At the end of the day Stefan was right at the end of this episode, she's better than both of them. I would honestly put killing Jeremy and trying to drive her off wickery bridge on the same level of fucked up. They both weren't in their right mind in those situation (Damon with all the Katherine trauma and Stefan with the Klaus trauma) but they both had their humanity on even if it wasn't fully. All I was trying to say is that I don't blame people for thinking Stefan "deserved" the heartbreak because it seems like up to that point he kinda thought that Elena would just forgive him and come back to him anyway once he's fully back to himself. (which yes judging by her character she absolutely would) I'm just saying to me both of them did unforgivable things but she's also just a 17 year old with a lot of trauma being seduced by 150+ years olds with a lot of power so i absolutely don't blame her for anything. I guess all i'm trying to say is that they're both horrible for her and she deserves better but it's also just a tv show that we all love so in the end its all good lmao (english isn't my first language so some things might come across differently than what i actually meant to say but i hope you get what i'm saying lol)

@Aleks22.07I disagree..Damon thought kathryn was locked away under the church for 150 years, he waited all them years for the girl he loved,living with the fact she was there because of Stefan,he was the reason she got caught, waiting for the comet to return,Damon loved kathryn and Stefan did not,Stefan just didn’t want Damon to have her..kathryn only compelled Stefan to not be afraid of her and she also did compell Damon a few times..Stefan and Damon are vampires,we cannot totally comprehend what makes them do or feel what they do..and they both are very different..but what bothers me the most is when Stefan fans say Damon SA Caroline..HE DID NOT PERIOD…that is a lie they spread..Caroline never claimed that,yes they had sex but she per sued him..yes Damon abused Caroline but NOT sexually..Stefan fans got so bad when this show was airing live..Julie Plec had to make a statement that it did not happen..and now all the new fans are starting the lie up again..I can’t believe how much they fight to try to make Stefan look like a good vampire,he’s not,neither is Damon…it’s Elena’s CHOICE…it’s her life..

Did you see Damon compell Caroline to do whatever he said?(compelling someone is not that literal) you compell for each thing you want,Damon explained this in season two..you are trying to re-write this show by assuming what the characters think and should of done..the producers and writers stated 15 years ago that was not there intent for people to think there was a rape..you are just twisting everything to your liking…

He deceived her to get with her and any normal woman would have told him where to go and what to do when he got there. Stefan has never told her anything about himself before. Never. Everything that she came to know about him, she stumbled on it by accident ,and then had to confront him. He's tried to walk away from her before ?? And when did that happen ? After she had fallen for him and after she was drawn into the whole situation....when it would have been difficult for her to make a complete break with him. He knew that.
