Anyone who's ever heard Pride in the Name of Love, or Sunday Bloody Sunday, or I will Follow or Bad or Where the Streets have No name, or Desire or With Or without You. Would know that this band was a big time band with super energy, big unique guitar player, driving bass and drums and one of the greatest frontmen to ever step on a stage. Bono is an amazing lead singer. As a frontman is up there with Jagger and Mercury. He's tremendous. It was only a matter of time before they took over, and with Joshua Tree they did. They never really looked back either. As the 90s they totally became sonic virtuosos with Achtung Baby, Zooropa and POP. U2 went from playing stadium rock, with amazing power ballads in the 80s, To playing dance and synth pop songs in a matter of years in the 90-s. They're an amazing band.

I’ve always wondered what her inside studio looks like. It’s so different from what I imagined. It’s still a soundproof room, but it’s amazingly aesthetically cool looking. Much larger than I anticipated. I pictured it to be a small sound booth with a black table and two stools to sit on with them face to face in a small cramp space. Boy was I wrong. That’s a cool set up.

All untrue. McGuiness targeted the USA early (several years before u2 started toying around with American Gospel/Blues music in '87) because he realised for every quid the act could get in the British market it could get 5+ bucks in the states due to demographic scale. u2 was a successful act in the British Isles/Europe before it broke America, & was into the styles of both sounds, dress & haircuts (the Mullet doesn't lie - figuratively or metaphorically) thruout the 80's & 90's.

It's one of the least 'cool' bands ever.
