This time, I will express nature using my favorite stones, maples and moss.
Bonsai There is nothing technical about it, but I hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful work! I am a big fan. One suggestion: You do not need keto, only sphagnum moss inserted into the cavities and you can then have live moss or the accent plants embedded directly into the sphagnum moss. This would also create additional aeration venues for the root system. I experimented a lot already with this. Even for vertical rock plantings, I use only sphagnum moss, no keto. I have several videos that show this in my channel.

Thank you......that was inspiring. I don't have slate like you used, but lots of flat volcanic Rhyolite and Basalt to experiment with, and I cut stone all the time with diamond tools.

Since watching your content I have started trying to create bonsai with no scratches as you call them... pretty hard to avoid for me

It is difficult to grow a tree without scratches even in Japan. That's why it's expensive and popular. Japanese people rarely harvest Yamadori. Yamadori trees can be scratched.

Wow, I love It! But I have a question on something that I never understood.. how can those trees survive without soil? Where the nutrients comes from? Does the moss play a significant role in their growth? Anyway, keep carring your art on this channel, you're doing an awesome job! 🌱

There are liquid proteins u mix with water to give it the needed sources, a lot of different liquid fertilizers that are used in bonsai care, so its fine like that ☺️

He put soil in. The stuff that looks like pebbles around the roots. That's bonsai soil. "Regular" soil would retain too much water in a potted setting and rot the roots.
