how far this show has come...i remember when I first got into this show, the only reason I watched in the first place was Fluttershy and how cute she was, and once i watched a random episode, i binge watched the entire series until i was all caught up...after all that, i started at 3rd year high school, now i'm a 3rd year college student and still watching this...damn...i love this show...

Yeah, really, I always thought that they were going to have individual cutie marks, yet somehow still be the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I always thought that Scootaloo was going to have a special talent involving her "scooter skills", that Applebloom's special talent was going to have something to do with apples, maybe growing them, and that Sweetie Belle was going to have a singing talent. But, now that they've got their cutie marks, that kind of is their talents. They all have the CMC symbolism in their cutie marks, but they also have a special talent WITHIN that talent. Scootaloo has a wing with a lightning bolt in her cutie mark, so that might mean that she's fast with something involving her wings, maybe the way she rides her scooter has something to do with it. Applebloom has an apple with a heart inside it, maybe that represents her love for her family, the Apple family. Finally, Sweetie Belle's cutie mark has a star with a music note in it, so that might show that Sweetie Belle also has a talent for singing, other than her CMC symbol. I love what the creators did with their cutie marks, and this is why; All of this just makes me think that they have two talents, but that one of those talents is shared with each other, so it might not count as an actual talent. These sorts of things make my brain hurt, and that shows that the creators did a good job. :)

So it's been 5 years, well three years for me. If someone had told me I would be watching a little girl's cartoon near-religiously for two years, I would never believe them. This show hits you somewhere deep, then digs in. You want to root for the heroes, you want to see them succeed, even with their flaws, and you want to hate the bad guys, but will begrudgingly forgive them when they do turn. Except Tirek. You just kill Tirek on sight.

Man, these views and heartfelt motions are really playing with my emotions... I love this!

This episode makes me think of my cousin....Haven't seen her in two years though thanks to my asshole of an uncle banning me from seeing her (she's not even his biological kid and he acts like he owns the whole house) since I'm a Brony. So yeah, he's a huge dick and I knew he hated me even before anyone found out I was a Brony. I tried to not bring the fandom in, unless my cousin asked a question about a term or something. I even showed her the song 'anthropology' and she loved it. But other than that, I kept the fandom away because tbh there are some things she shouldn't see as she is still really young. But my uncle decided to tell me otherwise, saying he heard from someone that Bronies are all these horrible people who do these terrible things and only clop to ponies. So he eventually banned anything MLP from 'his' house, and I haven't seen my cousin since then. But seeing the Cutie Mark crusaders get their marks...it made me think that I always want to see my cousin be excellent in something and I want to see her grow up into this wonderful person no matter what she ends up doing. And when Rd and Rarity started speaking...I just cried. It reminded me that my cousin has inspired me and I learned a thing or two from her even when I didn't recognize it. It felt like I was saying that to my cousin, and I hope to one day tell her that she has been a part of my heart since she was born. I knew her even *before* she was born! Basically I just wanna hang out with my cousin again, and I guess my love for Apple Bloom is from that she's so much like her. She is a like a pony version of her, with a few differences of course. ^_^'' I let out a lot of tears, both happy and depressing. I'm glad they made this episode and they did it so well, thank you creators and thank you ACRaceBest for the react! ;) I'm glad so many asked for this react. Episode is a perfect 10 for me! Definitely in my top 5, probably #2 right now. #1 is Pinkie's episode where she sings the Smile song. I do agree the title was very misleading. With in episode like that, even with the fact they did get their marks, you'd expect the to go on some Indina Jones/ Daring Do advanture to get them.

So what is it between Gabe and Michelle? Are they friends? Good friends? Friends with benefits? Lovers? Or closer to a brother-sister type of relationship?

I wish their cutie marks had a simpler design. Just keep the shield but make it a single solid color, different for each of them so as to complement their preexisting colors. Then inside the shield, a single individual symbol for each of them, instead of the two on top of each other. The design they went with would be great as a shared insignia for their group, not as their actual cutie marks. Sadly, I doubt they're willing to fix it at this point.

I'm proud of Saber for being so open with himself, and I agree about everything that he said about Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

I know this is possibly around a very dated and belated response to this, but I'm a little surprised it seems no one even mentioned the parallels with and how much the CMCs are with Diamond Tiara. I mean sure, it's obvious that once they learned that even though she's such a brat, the Crusaders were the better fillies and helped Tiara out anyway, leading Tiara to know that it's more to have friends than to be a brat (there is so much to talk about Spoiled Rich, but I digress--she's the prototypical bad mom character to make the turnaround for Tiara seem so much more believeable). But we have to remember that the CMCs didn't even exist until after Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo stood up for Apple Bloom at Tiara's cuteinera... No Tiara being the bully, no Crusaders. So it was kinda appropriate that the Crusaders earned their marks by helping out the one filly that led into the Crusaders in the first place. And now that you think about it, it was gonna be very possible that if Scoots, Belle, and Bloom earn their marks, they were gonna have to bury the hatchet with Tiara in some way or form...

I feel that the CMC's talent is helping others understand themselves because they helped Diamond Tiara find herself and who she is supposed to be. But i think the Cutie Marks themselves dont reflect this and just fit the CMC themselves. I do not entirely like the design in general but hey its a milestone so its fine. I like the show because it shows the values of friendship and how you should care about your friends and family more than yourself and be selfless and i like that. Now as for the future of the CMC they are still the Cutie Mark Crusaders but not for themselves so now they're going to help other blank flanks get their cutie marks. Not entirely sure where the point of this comment is but eh.

As always, my concern is that, season one fans might not love season 5, because it has been changed so much. And season 6? I would guess that it would be a brand new story. But new audience would have to watch from the very first episode in order to understand all the facts in season 5, so do all the later seasons.
