I spend more time watching Junior run practice laps then I do a Cup race!

This gave me a flash back to playing play station way back when. The view of the hood and sound of the engine sent me back in time.

They need to bring a cup race back here. Even if it was just like a little special event. That would be cool

It is amazing how much work has been done there in such a short time. It wasn't that long ago Jr and his buds were there weed eating the asphalt for IRacing to scan. Dales drive to preserve these tracks is inspirational to see in such a shortminded world. The cool part is the next video I was given was the 1987 First Union 400!

I know this isn’t a cup car, but first time I got into iRacing nascar stuff, in VR, I felt like I was so far back away from the windscreen in the car, and seeing that go pro inside this car really shows that it’s accurate.

This track has potential even in the current state. I just got the news that the group that ran our local paved short track - the only one in Oregon - just lost the bid to another entity and will likely be turned into a dirt oval - we already have 2 others within 100 miles. I know it's 3000 miles away, but let's see N. Wilkesboro come back to greatness.

I've never noticed this style of hand positioning on the steering wheel. He straightens on the "straight" to almost a 9/3 o'clock & then moves his right hand in, steering from the left side of the wheel around the corners. Is this just Dale's style or considered correct practise?

Unfortunately, tracks like this were left behind because of NASCAR's greed of needing 200,000 people in he stands! Great racing was second place to the amount of revenue coming in from ticket sales. Mile and a half dog-legs became the standard. Even excellent tracks like Atlanta were tore up and reconfigured not for better racing, but to seat more fans. Now NASCAR cannot sell out a show in those big arena tracks, so I say bring back good racing and the fans will return. Best race so far this year in my opinion was the new track in St.Louis that was added. Keep going back to what made NASCAR famous, short track wheel-to-wheel racing with some chrome horns. This is all my opinion, been a NASCAR fan for over three decades now and its hard to watch a race at Michigan or Kansas or Atlanta. I cant stay awake for it, sorry.

Driving NW is easy, leave pits, turn left. Go straight, turn left, pass the flag stand, turn left. Continue for a couple hundred laps, tap a few cars out the way, and get to the checkered flag first. Drive to infield, park in Victory Lane. That's all....
