The plaintiff has known the defendant nearly her whole life because the defendant was her Sunday school teacher. The plaintiff agreed to publish the defendant’s book, but she claims the defendant didn’t fulfill her end of the deal, then started badmouthing her. She’s suing for defamation. The defendant argues the plaintiff wouldn’t stop emailing her after she ended their deal, so she’s countersuing for harassment.

Thinking about the title of her book, "What Makes You Fat" and being that Ms. Furse survived incest, made me want to read her book. Mostly because I know people who have survived sa; not incest though. ************************** Ms. Furse is not only surviving, she is thriving! ************************** Since Ms. Furse wrote her book, "What Makes You Fat", we know she wants her story out there; of course not like that (in court). However, if marketed and handled correctly, what Ms. Boswell did, taking Ms. Furse to court and putting her business in the streets, could work to Ms. Furse's favor. If you have a "publishing house," but you're only publishing your own books you're just a self-published author who's set up the "publishing house," as a way to create prestige for yourself. Trust me, I know. I've published 8 books myself. What is she talking "she submitted to us," there is no "us." It's just her. She do the cover, she do the marketing. How she got a contract for all her authors but said she's only had 12 books published and they were all by her. $250 - is extremely cheap. A good cover is going to cost $250 and an ISBN is only $125 but you can get them for free through certain bookshops OR you can get 10 for $250. She tried to scam that woman. And she damn sure isn't including editors in that $250. Editors cost crazy amounts for self-published authors. That's why we have to build teams of beta readers, that's why there are sites to hire beta readers. She's not really about it. I'm mad as an author. I'm sorry. She's just up here lying and it's upsetting me. She tried to get that woman for a scam that a lot of "publishing houses," run on people who want to be authors. But she couldn't even pull the scam off well enough for a finished project. She's a bum and the reason people don't respect self-published authors. Too many people putting low effort trash out here and trying to scam others making everyone look bad when it's a lot of hard working folks out there.

A case in point on why you do not reduce your rates for anyone. If you don't want to charge a particular person your regular fee, refer them to someone you trust. Judge Mathis was upset with the plaintiff I believe for agreeing to publish a book for $250.00. That is just ridiculous. As for the defendant, she comes off as a user and should not have expected an error free job for $250.00. The plaintiff let her feelings for the defendant's son cloud her judgement.

Her book is about sexual abuse which causes emotional disorders and can be eating withdrawal or almost starvation. So her title reflects her story. I hope her book sells. How the plantif and defense acted outside the courtroom was absolutely Disrespectful. ALTHOUGH. I HOPE HER BOOK SELLS, BUT THE DEFENDANT HAS AN ATTITUDE. JUDGE IS VERY HOSTILE TOWARDS THE PLANTIF. ISN'T THERE A LEGAL CONTRACT THAT THE PUBLISHERS GET REIMBURSED FOR ANY ADVANCED PROMOTION. SOUNDS LIKE Prince HARRY and his book. The defendant got her book published and didn’t want to pay. So she learned how to do her own book. The defendant used the plantif. Judge Mathis was not concentrating on the issues, but was hostile towards the plantif. The defendant should have her galley typed before submitting it to the publisher. The defendant used the plantif. The plantif should have made very clear what she was going to do as gifts or had a contract that the defendant would pay for all expenses when her book royalties came in.
