I truly believe this season is going to outdo season 1 in every single way. The chemistry, the yearning, the storyline??? Yeah I’m literally dying in anticipation waiting for this season to come out

So apparently Lady Danbury & Mary were out in society around the same time and there was scandal around Mary’s marriage. Lady Danbury was aware of everything, but at the time she was trying to make sure she had herself taken care so she turned a blind eye. Now that the Sharmas are back and they don’t have much fortune to their name, Lady D feels it her obligation to help Mary now that she actually can.

Anthony and Kate are my favorite couple in the books, I'm so excited for this season!

With regards to the Indian tradition scene, I believe Kate is already married and probably preparing Edwina for her own wedding.

I didn't think I could ever get over Daphne and Simon, because I was so obsessed with them as a couple. But, after watching the incredible chemistry between Kate and Anthony in this trailer, I am very psyched about this new season. I cannot wait!

Praying the haldi scene is after kate is married to anthony and edwina's engaged to someone else. The producers KNEW the chaos they were creating when they put that scene in the trailer.

It was exactly what I thought! Edwina may have feelings for the viscount (who wouldn't?) but Anthony will fall in love with Kate.

Haldi is done a day before wedding so it's definitely terrifying for me. I don't want Antwina wedding or almost wedding. besides Haldi is not the only ritual, there are many rituals before haldi and bride's family send haldi to groom also. So I am not taking that seriously. Anthony not knowing what to do with turmeric paste would have been hilarious to see. 😂

In the Tudum interview, Simone said that Edwina would have a match. I figured that we would also get a side plot where Edwina finds her love and that is the wedding preparations that we are seeing in the trailer. That Edwina gets to marry who she wants because Kate makes a good match. I am a little worried though since they keep mentioning the triangle. I can't help but think there will be some kind of twist. Someone said that they were surprised that the trailer showed so much of the plot. This makes me think that there is something that they are holding back to surprise us.

There was almost kiss in pride and prejudice in rain, and that is what I want in this session.

I also want Eloise and Kate's friendship too, but I don't think there will be much of it as she will be after LW and crushing over Theo. My only wish is Eloise to say I love you to Kate whenever she says something feminist.

*spoilers* !!!Edwina never did anything more then put Anthony on a list of potential suitors. She still openly discussed what she ideally sees in a man and how Anthony is more like her sister and a better match for her sister. In the book it actually says that she always had a feeling it was something between Anthony and Kate. Both their mothers are not sure which one of the girls Anthony is pursuing and are making encouragements and puting Anthony and Kate in situations where they have to spend time together. It is never a hearbreaking external drama when Anthony and Kate get together, they don't hurt anyone, especially Edwina. Atleast that was my read from the books. Edwina and Anthony have no romantic interest in each other, Anthony is hiper aware of this because he could not bear to hurt the woman he marries when he dies ( he is crazy but hyperaware). Edwina is indeed used as a plot device of the pretty sister that by comparison makes Kate not feel like she could be anyone's first choice, but is never malicious or envious between them. This is more of what the society views women and the way they try their best to navigate it then bearing negative feelings for each other. They always take care of each other and both her mother and Edwina encourage Kate to put herself out more. This seems realistic to me to some degree, siblings will always be compared with each other, women are always compared with each other, how we grow out of these feelings is what is important. Of course it is satisfying when Kate is lusted after by Anthony and Edwina is not, because it shows that Kate can attract a man too. But it never reaches a level of Anthony sneaking glances and kisses with Kate while he is engaged with Edwina, that would be so gross.The only conflict when Anthony and Kate get together is an internal one, they must work through their traumas and grow up sort of speak which makes them love each other more. To introduce this whole boring external conflict with Edwina falling in love, Anthony breaking up an engagement or a wedding party because of the bee sting and putting so much focus on unnecesarry hurting Kate's and Edwina's sisterly bond would really piss me off if it were to happen. Its like the plot of CIvil War (for Marvel fans) where so much time was spend with an external conflict with Tony away from the main two who had to find a resolution to their problems in my opinion( Cap and Bucky) that the resolution never came, the plot moved them in different centuries in the end because it did not know what to do with them. It would just frustrate and annoy me to no end, sorry for the long rant.

Ugh I cannot believe it comes out in two weeks! It’s so close but so far away. So my boyfriend has heard me talk about this for literally a whole year. I’ve re read the book at least 8 times and he had a theory when watching the trailer with me. He thinks they will have Edwina and Anthony engaged but very last minute switch over to Kate. Maybe being caught in a compromising position? But he also had a thought about the Haldi ceremony. He thought maybe it could be a dream? But I’m not sure. I know so many people have hated on this season because the Duke is not present. But honestly I really think this season will be 10 times better than season 1 and I am so excited to see it all unfold! The trailer for season 2 was better than the trailer for season 1. Kate and Anthony’s story is actually my favorite out of all of the Bridgerton siblings stories and I’m currently re reading the book to prepare for season 2!

i don't want to be pessimistic!!! because i love this trailer so much but i've seen the episode soundtrack spoilers and have pieced together which eps the promotional stills belong to (thanks to some magazines who included the ep numbers lmaoo), and it kinda feels like they're going for an anthony/edwina proposal which leads to a last-minute bride change. my least favorite trope is the "love interest dating mc's sibling" trope which TVWLM violently and perfectly dodges!! but i'm scared they'll reallyyyy lean into the love triangle this time. i hope not!!!!

Let’s just all Agree that Newton is the main character and is secretly the biggest Kanthony fan .Kate has such a BOSS WOMAN wine and I love that about her and I think this make Anthony more intrigued and curious because she kinda lights something within him. I am so excited to see the Dresses, Balls, chemistry,orchestra, cinematography and I totally think this Anthony and Kate’s interests me more and I am so excited to see them bounce of each other and act like they hate each other but secretly love each other. There is so much to their story and I think it will be a balance of 🦋 butterflies but also is in our feels. Especially with the hidden trauma they have of their parents dying.

I think rather than feelings i think Edwina care more about her responsibilities and duties to marry good so that his husband can provide for their family. So putting aside her feelings i feel like she doesn’t mind marrying Anthony because she knows that Anthony will fulfill his responsibilities. That’s how Anthony could’ve approached her and dance with her despite Kate’s warnings 🤣 Like at the beginning of the book we can see that Kate and Edwina talk about this and how she is very much had the burden to marry good. I don’t think Edwina falls for Anthony though. Plus, it seems like she notices that Kate is the one having feelings for Anthony. I really hope the show is gonna do justice for Kate and Edwina rather than putting them against each other. That is like the most important thing in the book. Though, I’m not worried. The trailer looks so good already! And I agree, Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley in one screen is going to be the end of me 😭

I have to say, the way they portrayed Anthony in the first season wasn't great and I kind of disliked him in the beginning (he became my least favorite Bridgerton). However, after a ton of rewatching, I now understand him better and I understand what drives his character: he simply wants to choose his own future and shake the bounds of societal pressure (which could be argued for most of the Bridgerton siblings). I have since come around and actually kind of like him now and this trailer certainly helped bring me to the point where I'm actually looking forward to season 2. Even if I still don't like him, I'm still watching, because there's just so much going on and I can't afford to miss anything.

The trailer literally put me on the edge of my seat.. but after watching!!! This is purely my opinion Sorry, but Netflix butchered Anthony. His backstory and why he doesn't believe in love or relationships, rather than fulfilling for a mere duty would have added more depth to his character. Things I liked: 1. Edwina. in the book she is a mere puppet. She has her voice in here 2. The Featherington, Bridgeton, and LW subplots.. voila... 3. The BGMs (die for it) This I hated: (Only book readers can relate) 1. is there a scene with Anthony falling into the water? Yes. Is it that scene? NO 2. Is there a library scene? YES Is it that library scene? NO 3. Is there a scene where a Bridgeton stands up for Penelope? YES is it that scene? NO 3. Is there a bee sting scene? YES Is it that scene? NO 4.
