The story about your friend and Legends & Lattes reminds me of when I excitedly told my aunt a few weeks ago that I just bought myself Conversations with Friends and she then proceeded to shout at me that she had already bought it for me for Christmas xD But I feel like this really shows when someone knows you very well! It’s like whimsical dark academia for middle grade readers. It’s got a group of gifted kids, a series of tests, an elite school with sinister secrets… it’s totally up your alley. When you asked in the first part of your reading diaries for winter book recommendations, I had to think of the following (even though it's only a small part of a book) In 'The Wind in the Willows', there are these two chapters where the Mole and the Rat get hopelessly lost in the woods, while it's heavily snowing and night is falling. A bad situation. But then they stumble on the house of the kindly Mr. Badger, hidden away in the snow. He invites them into his home, they have supper, stay for the night in comfy beds and regain their strengths, warm and safe from the winter weather outside. I reread this part of the book a few years back, when we had a long week of snow, and it was perfect. Mr. Badger has such a lovely, cozy home ☺ It's not a problem if you haven't read the rest of 'The Wind in the Willows', this also works as a standalone. It's the third and fourth chapter: "The Wild Wood" and "Mr. Badger" And something completely different: I'm currently reading 'The Catcher in the Rhye', and maybe it's more about other things than winter, but it does take place during icecold December. And the cold keeps being brought up again, sometimes in funny ways haha Like the cab driver talking about the fish in the Central Park lake. Where do the fish go in winter? They become part of the ice! Frozen in one position for the whole winter. How do they eat? What'sa matter with ya, their bodies take in nutrition and all, right through the seaweed and crap that's in the ice. They keep their _pores_ open!

unrelated to the content of the video but i always absolutely adore your outfits (especially the sweater with the bejeweled shirt collar in the tiktok books video and the pastel sweater in the recent book recs video). would looove to see a video about how you curated your wardrobe and where you got those items.

In America we would call the black paper “tissue paper”. Now that I think about it, that’s weird because “tissue” is the same word for what you blow your nose in - but this is a completely different product. 🤷🏼‍♀️

As someone who's had a book stamp for a while, I'd suggest reading a book before you do it because if you decide you don't like the book and want to give it away/donate it, not ideal to have your name in it. However that's just my opinion, happy embossing!

I recommend reading no longer human idk if you take book requests but honestly no longer human is probably the best book I ever read. It is VERY depressing though.

I'm only at the beginning of the video, but my god, this earring is so beautiful. Where is from?

Fence is LGBTQ+! Many of the characters are queer, but for the main character and his 'enemy' its very very slow burn, they're up to volume 5 and no romance between them yet, like they're barely able to call themselves friends yet lol. Its very focused on the actual fencing at times, but all the side characters also make it worth reading. I'm definitely not a sports graphic novel/manga type person but i love this!
