I love the phrase “seeing my story as a lived expression of Jesus’s story”. This is what Paul was expressing in this letter.

As a Teacher and a Pastor, it's really helpful for me! For to me to present the word of God i must understand the original intent of a Author whom they refer to that present day, meaning original ordinance that were there at that time, and than I could take a "biblical principle" and, Me living it first, and than preach and teaches for applicable in a bigger picture to others. Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning at a very low point, and I humbly ask for your strength and encouragement. Even though I know in my heart that I am never alone and all I need do is call on your name Lord, I still fight this mental battle of feeling unworthy, broken, and too weak to stand on my own. Help me Father, help me forget these things that keep me from you, that allow Satan in to plant these seeds of worry and doubt, and please help me be the Christian I need to be in the world.

I love this idea, and I hope to see my own mistakes and struggles as "the greatest teachers" in my life rather than moments of regret and embarrassment. Thanks for this.

My favourite book. Filled with joy despite the harsh circumstances of Paul and the Philippians. And I've learned yet another theme to this, which is how the central poem echoes through the entire epistle.

This video helped my Life Group understand the book much better. Now I'm working on memorizing the whole thing! It's such a blessing. I just finished that section in Chapter 2 about the attitude of Christ, and I highly recommend learning it. God will do marvelous things in your heart as you meditate on it .
