I've got that Time Lord Fairytales book saved to get my dad for his birthday next month. He's a big Dr. Who fan and usually impossible to shop for. I'll probably end up getting it for my sister-in-law for Christmas as well.

thank you for introducing me to the folio society! i looked them up when you first hauled the book you showed and fell in love. i absolutely agree that any of their books would make gorgeous christmas presents!

Love the Wooden Books series. I have the Little History Of Dragons and love it. I've been waiting many years for Wooden Books to publish an anthology type book for the Trivium like that have for the Quadrivium, Designa and Sciencia. Seeing that you have Grammar and Rhetoric, the Trivium book should be published soon. Also don't forget to check out the "other books" link on the Wooden Books website, lots more exquisite books there published by The Squeeze Press. And I love love love the video!

I was gifted Duffy's 'Wenceslas' from a friend last year, and it was stunning. SO KEEN to grab more of those. Oooohaaaaaaaaaah, those Wooden Books sound ultra intriguing.And I crave the Time Lord Fairytales so bloody bad. I'm just hella smad that beautiful Christmas-themed colouring books aren't readily available in stores in Australia. There are a few to purchase online, but I know at this stage I'd have no hope of them getting to me in time for Christmas!

Thanks for the great ideas Jean! I'm very intrigued by the Wooden Books series, that looks looks beautiful. I happened upon a Folio edition of "Heart of Darkness" in a library bookshop (a steal), can attest to it's beauty. I almost don't want to read it. ☺
