In this video, we provide insights and understanding on the scriptures from Matthew 13, Luke 8, and 13, which contain parables that Jesus used to teach his disciples about the kingdom of heaven. We discuss the meaning and significance behind each parable, including the parable of the sower, the mustard seed, and the leaven. We also explore the importance of understanding these parables in the context of Jesus' teachings and the culture of his time.
Throughout the video, we offer practical applications for the lessons we learn from these parables, including the importance of cultivating good soil in our own lives, the need for faith to grow and flourish, and the power of the gospel to transform us. We hope that viewers will come away from this video with a deeper understanding of these parables and a renewed sense of their own faith and spirituality.
This program is intended to be used as supplementary material to the Come, Follow Me Program by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This weeks episode correlates with the dates of Mar 20 - Mar 26, 2023.

Always love these classes. Wow, this presentation is beautiful. I think one could easily spend a lifetime studying the layers of learning contained in the parables. I love what Bro Halverson said about not knowing what a seed is going to become. I was blown away, that was a beautiful insight. I also love Bro Griffin's take on the breaking down of what the Parables mean @ 37.00. I always come away spiritually, mentally and emotionally nurtured after watching CFM. Everything said was beautiful. Thank you and God bless everyone @ SC ❤.

I believe it is also a good lesson for us to realize that God is warning us that He knows that not everyone in the Kingdom of God, or the church, is living the gospel. To not let your faith be affected by members who offend or otherwise do not live up to their callings or Covenants.

All of my adult life I have heard really awesome quotes and can recall where I found them and go back. One time in particular I regret not making a note of this one person's words when I heard or read them tell how we always hear that it is more blessed to give than to receive. OK...on the contrary if all we ever do is give and never receive we deny others the joy that comes from giving. My love language is giving; I have to humble myself sometimes and be the recipient. Well dang, and there is D&C 88 too.

2 more thoughts about why pearls were so valuable: along with Taylor’s explanation of the effort involved to acquire one, oysters are not kosher and would not be gathered for food by the original audience, so one would not accidentally find a pearl while having dinner; they would have to be intentionally sought. 2) pearls are the only semi precious stones that begin through trial and affliction (the sand), made perfect through the suffering, and are only manifest or accessible after the death (total commitment and sacrifice) of the host body.

Tyler your comment at the end of Part 1 comparing the amount of pages that different prophets have provided us bothered me a little. To me, it isn’t so much the quantity of the scripture. All of it is important and each of us has favorite scriptures. It kind of reminded me of parts of the series , The Chosen, where at times Christ’s disciples would try to figure out who were his favorites. So human like of us. All the scriptures are important and the Lord Himself provided the teachings behind what the prophets wrote down so it doesn’t matter which one provided the most. It doesn’t make one better than the other. The lord is basically the one who provided it all. I love all the lessons that you both have worked so hard to give us a better understanding. Thank you both so much for all your hard work and desire to spread the gospel!

The cool thing about “30-fold” or “n-fold,” is that it’s not 30X or nX, it’s 2^n 2^(30) = 30-fold 2^(100) is 100-fold This is because when you fold something, it doubles. So 2 doubles 30, 60, or 100 times becomes insanely huge

Taylor! Obviously you have changed from the experience of not wanting to be helped! Picture yourself in the temple. Not a single ordinance can be completed without an ordinance worker "helping" the patron! Although our salvation is up to us, we need one another! ❤ On the other hand, if no patrons come to the temple, there we sit, having to make up a session ourselves, meaning we can't participate in other ordinances at the same time. Again, we need one another.
