I really appreciated the insight of looking at all these events in the Book of Mormon as a continuation and type of the pre mortal war in heaven. It continues daily in our personal lives and in our society. Seems so simple to choose Jesus as our king…But the half truths and deceptive philosophies of Satan are persuasive. When things have been hard for me as life moves forward I have chosen to feed my faith instead of feeding doubt. I have 3 teenage boys, all around driving ages or about to be, and I often remind them that no matter what, keep the Savior in your frontview or purview and not behind you in your blindside. Its easier or safer to follow Him in faith looking forward. The blindside makes you take your focus off the path to have to turn away from the path to see if you can find him and many times danger ensues as sin and "accidents" happen. Know in whom you trust and it is in and only through the Savior moving forward in life.

I have always assumed that the word silk in the Book of Mormon was only an approximation. My thinking always includes nettle, while it was generally not spun and made a course fabric it can be spun and made into a very fine, delicate, and durable fabric. just my 2 cents worth.

I try to be a good person of the believes by trying to humble a accept my circumstances and be and when physically hurting I often cry and fall at that… I try to think of heaven as my friend and reflect on the blessings it’s previously given me actually does throw me. I don’t like sounding so good when truthfully I’m highly imperfect and have made many faults. 😱

When God gave the ten commandments through Moses, He also started with the commandment to remember that He saved them from the Egyptians. Similarly, it is easier to love and obey God if we acknowledge that we need Him and His Son Jesus Christ whom He has sent to atone for our sins, knowing that we need to be saved because we are not perfect (James 2:10).

Now look at 2 Kings 14:20 And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David. Notice where the City of David is? "At Jerusalem". So.... where is the city of David? "At Jerusalem". What is the city of David also called? Bethlehem. So Alma is correct, the city of David is "at Jerusalem" not "in". And the City of David is also called Bethlehem. Bethlehem is "at" Jerusalem. Just use the scriptures to explain Alma 7:10, it's perfectly legit to do so after all.

My husband was stricken with Parkinson's disease 9 years ago & he has had 2 strokes as well & then 6 months after my husband's Parkinson's disease diagnosis, our youngest daughter was stricken with multiple Sclerosis. My husband can barely walk now with 9 years into Parkinson's disease & his 2 strokes put horrible restrictions on him, as well. It is also hard to see our daughter struggling with the unforgivable disease of multiple sclerosis, which has taken so much vitality from her life in her early thirties, which should be the years of full vitality for our youngest daughter. What has helped us in these dark times has "BEEN YOU" Tyler Griffin & Taylor . The way you PRESENT your KZfaq channel with LOVE & COMPASSION has helped us SOOOO MUCH. We found out about you from Our Extended Family member & Dear friend. Her son is married to our daughter & we have seen with her BOTH of our children that are married together leave the Church . Our Heart's of corse have been broken with having physical bad health coming upon my husband who was a VERY HARD Working MAN in life & to be stricken with SUCH an unforgiving illnesses in his life & then the heart break of those you love so dearly in your Heart's leaving the church, that sometimes it becomes so overwhelming but "EACH WEEK " we learn from your SWEET lessons, & of corse prayer has helped us too so very much. Another "HUGE HELP" in our lives has been watching "The Chosen" faithfully. WE LOVE "THE CHOSEN." Reading Scriptures, too, has been helpful, as well. Why do we waste our time trying to reconcile the historical issues in the BofM, what is important is that the BofM is another testament of Christ. All of the historical nonsense for or against the BofM will not change its message or it’s testimony of Christ. Even if isn’t 100% historical who really cares? We don’t know Gods ways, they are a mystery. The literal historicity of the BofM is a non issue.

Let’s just please take the Book of Mormon at face value. No need to entertain alternative meanings for the words like silk or linen. Plus, the native Americans will tell you they had silk long before Europeans landed here. Let’s ask them for once.
