I recommend not using the compensate method. Rigger should be looking up until load leaves supporting surface. If you’re doing compensate and then cable down with a max load your liable to allow a load scoot to the crane as you only cable down. If you don’t have a reliable help and you can see the your hook, watch for the hook to pitch. If it pitches, compensate yourself till it doesn’t shift as the line gets tights. Observe your radius at that point and compensate with boom up yourself. Unfortunately, if you do it for them, when they work with less talented operators they’ll bang up some shit. Good luck

G day Dell how do feel about the Rigger using hand signals instead of his 2 way when he's in close also with telescopic Crane's is it the operator's preference to have the boom at 45 degrees when starting the lift.

Yeah if ur up close a few hand signals doesnt hurt he can probably see what needs to happen, ur second question im not sure what u mean sorry
