Non-binary elders do exist! At the hardware store where I work a majority of customers are older people. I have a they/them and a he/him pronoun pin on my vest. One time an older customer with long white hair told me they liked my pins and that they identified with they/them too. It made me so happy to see that there are nonbinary people of all ages ❤

the thing that gets me about jimmy carr’s standup routine is that all of the jokes are so basic. quick setup, quick punchline, then straight onto the next joke. i don’t know how to explain it cause i’m not exactly a comedy expert, but it’s like going up on stage and going “what do you call a cow with no legs?” it really is like he’s reading off minion memes.

@@gotmilkbutt It's not that well-known to me. I've never been to the Netherlands, nor have I extensively studied their usage of weed. Frankly I'm not a stoner 😂 Also, as someone else said, when you see the word "coffee" in the name, you would really expect there to be coffee. It would be like finding a candy store and the moment you walk in they're only selling cocaine. Surely you'd expect a legitimate candy store? Yes every country has its quirks and societal slang, but to *most* people outside of the Netherlands who do not often hear about the Netherlands are likely not going to know this fact. If I asked every single person in my University--including foreign exchange students--what the Netherlands would sell in a coffee shop, they would probably laugh at me and say "well, obviously coffee, right?". It's just common sense.

In regards to them not finding out who had shit their pants all over the plane, I don't think we need to know who did it. Look what happened to the "that guy's not real" lady after having a clear psychological breakdown. She got doxxed and was given a lot of grief, even after acknowledging and apologizing for her breakdown. Imagine how awful it would feel to get doxxed, massively ridiculed, maybe even some death threats just because you had a bad case of diarrhea on a plane.

i made the same mistake when i was in amsterdam, coffehouses have actual coffee but the coffeeshops sell weed. i should’ve known when the man outside shouted “18 PLUS” in a thick dutch accent🤑🤑

Growing up I watched a lot of panel shows and Jimmy Carr was always one of the worst comedians on there bc his style of comedy just isn't fun. He didn't riff off everyone else in an interesting way bc all he knows how to do is say something edgy and wait for laughs. He's also very scary there's something off about him

I'm only just getting into the Jimmy Carr bit but I just watched Daniel Sloss's special X and it's so important. Perfect edgy/dark humor while explaining the truth behind it. I totally recommend it, it's funny, and it talks about serious topics in such a well-thought out and striking way. Trigger warning, SA. But he makes me feel so seen with his special and makes such fantastic points.

A loop hole/technicality in Amsterdam's laws is the reason why the 'coffee' shops' are actually weed cafés. TLDR by being a 'coffee shop' on the surface. They can be a different type of hospitality service on the inside.

People are sick of Chapelle because he isnt maling jokes he just hates trans people and decided to,instead of do jokes, decided to talk about how much he hates trans people for 3 specials over 2 years. When you are truly funny, people str to busy laughing and laughing with you. Shane Gillis had a great special, but like Louis (pre scandal) he knows how to write a story and understands satire.

Jimmy Carr seems like Jim Gaffigan. I used to listen to Jim on Pandora and think he was hilarious, imagining his reactions on stage. Then I saw him on KZfaq and realized he didn't really react much, which finally explained why there wasn't more reaction on the Pandora soundtracks
