We decided to take on living in our van down by the river this week, boondocking our way through Alberta at our own pace. It's hard to believe that Alberta's best (and possibly Canada's most beautiful) public land is free to use (after the purchase of a low-cost annual permit, but the area around Abraham Lake and down Alberta's David Thompson Highway is absolutely out of this world. The North Saskatchewan river runs east-west in a valley through a bowl of mountains, so naturally - we wanted to get as close to a birds-eye view as we could.
We've been living van life our way since the start - climbing mountains, camping in breathtaking camp spots, and enjoying the finest Alpine scenery from the start.
