Hopefully their not like visible with chat only support. I like the flexibility of both phone and chat. Unfortunately when you choose just chat support you are putting a back up in one space for customer service and it’s kind of a pain when you can’t get your problem solved in a matter of minutes. I tried visible out and had problems activating and it took hours just to get help with it because support has not responded. once I finally got activated it was ok service but I chose to stay with my current provider even though it costs a bit more I’m happy that they offer phone support and in store service.

Just ordered my SIM kit. Even with the $5 add on for 20 GB more data it is far cheaper than any postpaid plan and cheaper than Visible. Took advantage of the Visible+ for $35 a month and its great but sometimes drops coverage. Really weird. My ATT Unlimited Max for $50 is truly unlimited and has 4k video streaming package and 10 GB + 5 GB bonus hotspot and it worked great while traveling. Being able to use the entire 30-50 GB as hotspot means this is a great alternative to a separate hotspot which most are limited to 20 GB. If it works well I will drop the ATT Unlimited Max and get close to 100 GB across two devices for $65 a month which is a fantastic value for someone like myself who needs two phones to multitask. Calling during a active hot spot has always been problematic and I love having an Android power phone to use as a modem/hot spot as my iPhone 14 Plus only works well with macOS.

Okay. Results are in. After activating on my G7 unlocked as my supposedly unlocked G8 had issues activating Boost Infinite in the app I then ran some speed tests with the activated SIM in the G8. It connects to T-Mobile in my area which is great as it has fast mid band speeds. On 4G LTE it maxes out at 50 mbps and 2 mbps up. This is solid. For $25 I can keep this plan active on what is essentially my new HiFi streaming device without ever hooking up to WiFi. And as it is an android device it is much easier to use a USB cable and use it as a modem/ wired hotspot for my Windows 10 boot camp install which is a godsend. ATT Unlimited Max maxes out at 186 mbps on 4G LTE. Visible Plus on my iPhone 14 Plus maxes out at 288 on 5G and once I connected to 5G mmW and hit 1237 mbps which was amazing!

I just signed up. Passed the soft credit check. I have a rooted Pixel 7 Pro that I'll be using with it. Here's hoping the QCI isn't 9 like the prepaid. I have like 3 months of free service banked on the prepaid side so unless you can also get free service on the Infinite side (which seems doubtful given their goals of being a premium postpaid offering), if it has the same priority, I'll probably stick with what I have.

Looking forward to you your update on QCI. TIA. Talking to CSR it seems for now to only use AT&T network and maybe very similar to current Boost mobile plans. That 30GB cap is frustrating. For $25 it's fine, but they're marketing this at "infinite" and as a consumer I expect infinite to mean unlimited. I talked to support and it's 512 kbps after the cap. From what I read, the speeds will be lowered to 3G when you reach your data cap. That's why I was interested because Boost Mobile sucks with their 2G data speeds. Its not fast enough to use!!! Which I think they should have left the 3G towers and taken out the 2G! 2G is too damn slow. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@featherpony
@featherpony Жыл бұрын
@@candidas first off, all 2g towers have been taken out of commission in the USA (a those only exist in less developed countries). Not only that, but the last 3g towers in the USA (belonging to Verizon) were taken out of commission just this month. This means all towers in the US are 4g/5g. I think you are confusing "2g speeds" and "3g speeds" with using "2g towers" and "3g towers". 2g speeds just means throttling speeds down to what they were in the 2g days. But this is still done through a 4g/5g tower, since there is no 2g tower available in this country. They are just being artificially slowed down to arbitrary speeds. Imagine if I drive my car at "bicycle speeds", very slow. Does that mean my car is a bicycle? Or is it still a car?

I like the idea but no thanks because of the deprioritized data, 480p streaming cap. I think I'm leaning towards AT&T 16GB $300 annual prepaid plan because the data rolls over which works for me because I use less than 12GB data monthly, it comes with hotspot (which I don't use but nice to have), 4K streaming, priority data, 5G access, and where I'm at AT&T doesn't get throttled like how Verizon and T-Mobile gets based off of speed tests I've seen in crowded areas where I'm at. I still want to try US Mobile just to say I tried it but I'm leaning towards that AT&T plan.

@@crabjoe The idea with postpaid is supposed to be a more premium experience complete with mid cycle add-ons and such. It's really all about what's important to you. Personally I tend to prefer prepaid because you never have to worry about a billing issue - if you don't pay, your service stops, and there is no other penalty. With postpaid, you get sent to collections if you don't pay your bill so a billing error can screw you.
