Another great spot is on top of the Mountain, during Ashton's quest (even if you do not have Aston in party), at the save point. You have Scouting, Train, and Enlightenment on on all party members. Just stand on top of the save point and monsters will pop and come to you (sometimes linking others). Was getting 8000-20,000 (had 1 normal fight and 2 'boss' links for 20,000) exp per fight before it was split up and bonus added for each party member. Reason to stand on Save Point is you auto-heal after fights are done, before next group pop and attack. Also good skill to have is Bodyguard, party members will attack 'GREEN' blobs of monsters before they get close to start fight, giving you exp and FOL for each blob killed. 23 hours in game from start party members I had were all lvl 76. Claude, Rena, and Celine. Then went to Linga and got Preisis (however her name is spelled) started lvl 15 took to top of mountain and got her to 76 in a few hours. I had only found this place after doing leveling up in main field til lvl 24 or so, am going to start a new playthrough and see if can do lvl 76 in less time. (not to mention get a few items I missed during 1st playthrough).

I didn't bother with any grinding as there's far easier ways to do it later in the game with Counterfeit medal which reduces the amount of EXP needed to reach the next level to 1. Dupe this with replication and you'll be fine up until level 100. Before you get to level 100, be sure to create Experience card in ART. The experience card doubles EXP, so popping on scouting, look for enemies to bring in a battle with chain battle of 5, I'm getting 450k exp. It's great on boss battles too. Currently level 112 and I'm late game.

I did this and it’s quite impressive. You can definitely reach level 40 here if you want.

Where do you get the meteor ring+?

O.o I grind at the mountain nearby 😂 from LV 17 to 43. Hope the knight monster drop a Walloon sword for U and the mage drop a flare ring to make things easier.

What is this (obviously some kind of British) accent? I hear it often, they replace their "R" with "W" and it's very distinct. Not trying to disparage, just curious. Anyway, I can't wait to try this farming spot this weekend. This is the only Star Ocean game I never finished or gave a fair shot back in the day.

You starting to understand why this is one of the best JRPGs ever made? You'll have to go back and play the first one now 😂. You really don't need to grind at all. If you can create some forged medals, when you use them they take you to one xp away from your next level. Then you just replicate a bunch of them with the camera. Using this method you can get to level 100 really quickly. But the medals dont work after 100. If you follow Ashtons quest all the way through, you'll come to that area i was telling you about the other day ( mountains left of Krosse). Its a much better area to level, but the enemies are tough! If you head out the back of the moutains there's a desert, where you can get all the damascas you'll ever need 😂. Also don't level your music performance level above level 8 if you want thw best xp farm with the silver trumpet.

This is dumb theres a better leveling spot right at the being of the game. After you leave Salva to go to the kingdom there is a mountain pass. Save the game right out side the moutain pass. Go into the mountain pass and get in a random battle. Your goal is to get lucky with a single opponent to spawn once you kill it. Run out and save the game. Do this over and over with more level the easier and the more enemies you can fight. I do this starting at level 5, and you can boost yourself all the way to level 30-40.
