I love the fact it's very basic. Wind up windows won't let you down. The only thing I'd want is to give it a manual transmission, and change the wheels. The rest I'd keep as is.

I have Nitto 420V tires on my stock 20s and love them. A good tire in rain is essential in FL

They are mostly provisioned for the upscale options with some caveats. some options require additional harnesses to iface with factory wiring. I'm interested to see what route you take to convert to power locks and windows.

I had a jump seat In my 13 Laramie crew cab. The center console swap was actually pretty straight forward. The dash bezel should be the only thing you would have to change since it doesn’t need rear vents. Also a good time to upgrade to the 8.4 Uconnect radio.

I'm going to love the entire build, but right now I'm looking forward to the LED upgrade on the high beams and fog lights since that's something I still need to do. Not sure I got the best low beams, although they are very nice.

The 3rd seat is an option that can be in the cre and quad cabs as well! Commonly referred to as the 6th or 3rd seat as well as jumpseat. I have it in my crew cab SLT model and I actually like having it as it makes the front cab space feel more spacious. I do like the normal centre console too but my 6th seat also has a secondary storage area below the bottom cushion so thats nice

I love my Ram 1500 lone star , 4x 4 , it’s a 2015 , with the 5,7 motor. No issues to date, and never been in the shop . It pulls my 5300 lbs camper with no problem. I have the Good year tires and a regular size spare.

My 2014 Outdoorsman has the same seats and some of the same interior features. I do have Bluetooth though haha. That ignition can take a key fob that’s why it has that sleeve you slide the key into.

That is cool a hellcat power plant in that 1500. I own a 17 1500 with the express set up. Right now not so happy because had an exhaust leak fixed, and now light on for something else. Seems to run ok.

The hitch is factory behind the bumper. The Uhaul part is just the receiver insert that you add on with a few bolts

Have a 19 classic express night edition 4×4..hemi....has the 392 rear lsd...8 speed...(goes like hell)...no auto 4×4...(mine is 2wd-4wd-4 low).....has 8.4 inch touch screen....no power or heated seats... .has power windows..bf goodridge ko2 tires..bought it with light options on purpose....lot less to fix when warranty runs out....love my truck...live in canadian rockies....goes everywhere....and fast on highway....

My 2013 express has a USB plug in the center “armrest” middle seat back. I plug my phone in there and I’m able to at least play music through my phone

You can add push start and keyless entry system. Change the gauge board. Change the steering wheel. 8 inch Oem radio.

If you do the headlight swap with alpharex pro series g2 and get the mysterious parking light out message like i have the parking lights need a resistors at least what i read on a ram form i did find a easy plug n play resistors setup for it

In my tradesman I hooked up a cheap amazon bluetooth adapter via the aux in that's in the jump seat console.

Be happy havin auto headlights, i'm in 14 F150 fleet work truck and it doesn't have them, our previous 2007 Silverado had auto headlights and DRLs in fleet model... also very very simple radio no bluetooth not one usb, just 2 12s ... and Hey, just turn on DRLs with alfaobd instead ambers edit... Weird thing a have not ever had cracked window on Ram with many chips on both 3th and 4th gens, but i had many cracks and windshields replaced on F150 and Silverado and Tacoma... I was kind of hopping to get windshield cracked so i can change it with the one with holes for rain sensor, because all BCMs since at least 2013 have rain sensing features programmed in

My friend has the Express model and he found that the wire harness has many of the connections for higher end components. The truck really needs a set of R/T rims.

Please God do a video on how to fix the aux and or usb to radio wiring I can't find anything, mine doesn't have the Bluetooth or upgraded radio and it has a aux port but I can't get it to work and the USB port says that it doesn't support my device idk what to do I wanna play my own music without upgrading the radio, I love watching an rewatching your videos you actually appeal to the average person that's not a millionaire, if you can't do it that's okay but if you can do that or a video on upgrading the radio please do much love

It’s been a while but hello to ya John. The little cubby at the bottom of the dash was an ashtray back in the day. The seating in the truck is a modified Bench Seat also referred to as a MOB seat. With the centre console in the up position your significant other can move closer hence MOB - Move Over Babe.

Got the same problem with my lights they stay on all the time in any position and can’t turn the fogs off either by pushing the button. Did the cleaning and checking the switch fix it. I am gonna alpha obd2 the truck and see if all the light setting are correct but if that isn’t the problem I would love to know how the switch cleaning went and if it fixed it. Thanks

Minor issues really. This truck was bought for a good price, runs and is in excellent shape. Thats at least 75% of the battle. What you've got is a clean canvas ready for the mods. Show us how its done so we can do it too. Great videos, keep em coming.

Leave it in M8 (manual speed8 mode) when you drive. It disables the MDS mode.

I know you will probably put a hellcat hood on it eventually, but before you do, I think it would be cool to see it with the sport hood.

It's funny I have the exact same truck but it's Chrome package and it has the sliding window it's all power but it's not an 8 speed it's the 6 speed with the column shift.

My 3.21 rear-end definitely doesn't have lsd. Great on the highway/shit in the rain.

honestly its a good truck. less electronics means less problems. I personally would love to have this ram regardless of it being a basic model. I know the downfalls to owning a basic car or truck, I own a 1997 Dodge Dakota. over the years ive improved the stock Dakota and it is so much nicer. so I understand both points but that doesnt make it a bad truck :)
