1997 Dodge RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI SWAP Pickup Truck Build | Part 16
We continue working on this 2nd gen dodge ram1500 truck with the 3rd gen hemi engine swap running the holley efi terminator x max ecu with the 8 speed transmission swap. In this episode we degrease the 9.25 chrysler rear axle before painting it and installing new rotors and pads. We then reweld the stainless steel exhaust to adjust for the new transmission mount on the zf 8hp70 and fix a broken door lock solenoid and make a custom bracket and faceplate for the relocated climate control switch panel.

Why is it insane? Price all the parts engine,trans,rear axle, radiator,fans, terminator x controller ect ect. Obviously you don't know what it takes to build one..... they are time consuming.... people kill me when they don't have a clue to the cost of custom builds...........

Hey man another tip for that fabric paint is get a horsehair brush or any soft brissel brush and softly work it into the fibers works way better to regain the texture of the carpet or whatever you’re painting! I’ve done this countless times for headliners & carpets

Hey I have suggestions when welding stainless steel. A simple product to apply on the inside of your pipe to prevent "sugaring" and cracks. Solar Flux "Type B". No need to back purge stainless steel with this product.

I have a question on the tuning side. You mentioned having the 1320 software in the transmission and you said you can get the factory transbrake. I currently have my 17 ram custom engine and trans tuned. Does that mean i can talk with my tuner and enable a factory transbrake on my truck?

New to the channel. Where did you get the shifter column to I guess called knob shifter on the dash conversion at? I never seen that on the older models and was wanting to do that myself. Thanks in advance
