Kansas has plenty of interesting things to come and see. The Cosmosphere and Strataca Salt Mine in Hutchinson, The boyhood home and presidential library of Dwight D. Eisenhower in Abilene, The Evel Knievel Museum and Brown vs. Board of Education site in Topeka, just to name a few.

You know I love these field trips to Native American museums! Thank you. When you spoke of the horses it reminded me of a passage in Centennial...I know it's a novel, but this really stuck with me. There was an elderly couple enjoying an evening walk, they paused for a bit to look over the valley and reminisce a bit. I of course don't remember their words, but, the topic was about how having the horses had made their lives better, however they both kind of missed the days before the horses and how much slower life was back then.

Several artifacts from my husband's family are in that museum. His great grandparents on his maternal and paternal sides settled there in the early days. They owned the funeral parlor/furniture store. His grandfather was in the cowboy band that you mentioned. So fun to see all this . Thanks.

@@BunnyPlaysHere Me, too, I absolutely love 💞 history. I have gone to a lot of historical places. You'll have to go check out my old house. It is now a bed and breakfast place. It is on highway 27 south in Lancaster, Kentucky. I don't know the name of the place.

I haven't been here in years, they have done a lot of updating over the last 30 years! The old gunfight show was pretty standard when I was a kid but I still thought it was amazing!

Dodge City has really improved this area! I’m from Kansas and this definitely doesn’t look a thing like the last time I was there, many years ago. I live 2 1/2 hours North of DC. I need to take a day trip!

Good to see you in Kansas again! I think your first video that I watched was of the Strataca Salt mine. You should check out Greensburg if you're still in the area or maybe go back to Hutchinson and do a video on the Cosmosphere, or Both! Regardless, have a safe and happy New Year!

I passed thru dodge city 2021 summer on my way 2 Mt Rushmore. I stop at its casino, gambled Lil, pd $18 for a burger. Stop at boot hill casino, which was interesting. I get gambling brochures often. Going back? I met - I did visit the B.H. Museum. That was fun & interesting.

I didn't do any gambling when I was there but I did see they had some interesting other things in town. Might stop in again at some point.

Wow ANOTHER video from you I learned from. Btw my friend Sharon and I made our plans to ryde our Can Am Spyders out to Quartzite the last weekend when the Big Tent is there I hope you will be there that weekend too. They have the BEST pizza place there and if you’re going to be there at that time I would love to meet you. God bless. 😊

Yeah but the Mexican and African type of cowboy was totally different from the Cowboy the White Man created that we know today. The White Man perfected the 🤠 Cowboy and created what it has become today including the Rodeo.
@BunnyPlaysHere
@BunnyPlaysHere Жыл бұрын
Actually historically rodeos were not all white men. And the white man we see in Hollywood was based off of trends in the industry not facts. If you go to the St Louis arch there is a wonderful documentary that they share tons of information about this in even more depth.
