It's so terribly unfair how Seokjin is coming home to this mess riddled with clout chasing boycotters and Min Hee Jin. People are literally planning to harass him once he returns. MHJ said her contract was weird. What's "weird" is that someone who had worked in the industry for 17 years BEFORE signing the contract with Hybe would have signed a "weird" contract. I am disgusted. S. Korean people and media KNOW these type of smear campaigns happen and are common. Yet they STILL join in. Not only what happened with Tablo. Only a few months ago a star from Parasite, which won an Academy Award, was a victim of such a horrible smear campaign. So bad that police were even targeting him and he ended up taking his life. No evidence that he did any wrongdoing came forth, it was only rumors. Since becoming a BTS fan in 2021, I have heard of so many S. Korean stars who have ended their lives because of smear campaigns and rumors. It’s horrible and yet is allowed to happen over and over. Edited to clarify information: I wrote what I remembered from that time, but I've since reread western articles about what happened with Lee Sun-kyun. He reported that a bar worker slipped him substances and then proceeded to blackmail him. But the police hounded him. One interrogation was 19hrs! His drug tests came back clean. The entire time the media was going after him and his family. The police only cleared him of all charges after his death and said they would investigate the people he sued for drugging him.

I still can't get over the fact that they begged BTS to do a free concert and then expected them to foot the bill for the whole thing instead of getting businesses to sponsor like other countries do when putting on free festivals

For me, they are great artists who through their investment, talent, personalities and charisma have won the esteem, support and worship of billions of people around the world. (I am a French woman). They don’t deserve all that hatred, jealousy, smear campaigns wherever they come from, fans of other bands, KZfaqrs or other media. This is a topic I generally avoid because it makes me feel really bad. I don't have the mental strength to fight against internet haters but my heart goes out to the ARMYs who can do it ! I do everything I can to support BTS in my own way. I ended up crying like I do every time I see how BTS (feat. ARMY) are belittled, mistreated, victims of rumors, etc. I've already said it plenty of times in the comments under other videos but it's really BTS x ARMY against the rest of the world!! I really hope that one day we will let them live in peace. All I want is for them to be happy and healthy, to be happy making music and to still have as much fun performing on stage! Since I discovered them my life has changed, they help me get out of my depression every day and I will be forever grateful to them. I think MHJ was trying to find out BTS plans and when their accountant didn't give her anything she assumed that BTS (like every other boy group) wouldn't have any projects during their military conscription. So she expected the monetary value that BTS brought to drop and Hybe's stock to drop with it; she saw the drop when the hiatus was announced but she failed to note the recovery as soon as 6 soloist was unleashed (I'm excluding Jin as he has yet to truly debut as a soloist). She expected a power vacuum that the boys would leave behind which she hoped to capitalize on thereby setting herself up to take over. Her biggest mistake is underestimating how hard these boys work and how much they care about their art and army. She planned out the defamation to start mid February with Hybe then she would mention BTS around March to associate Hybe and BTS further in public views, she knew Knetizens would pile on and it would snowball all throughout BTS absence. Too bad for her Hobi announced a new album in Feb shortly after V dropped a new song following Jimins new song... She didn't expect 2nd albums, new popups, docuseries, and who else what these 7 normal boys from Korea has in store. And also to her surprise, Army stayed and continue to support them. She fails to see that BTS has substance and not just glittery empty vessels she's used to so to her its unfathomable for the fandom to be educated and loyal. She failed to recognize army is not easily manipulated and knows how to protect BTS and what they stand for. Now all her plans are being exposed and blowing up in her face. Most Koreans aren't even paying attention to any of the nuances of what's going on, so most of it is just kpop stans being petty. It's gross how ppl in the kpop sphere are gagging for any reason to bring BTS down. And no one should be accepting this as just attacks on only HYBE/BSH when these accusations are discrediting BTS's early works and achievements. The thing about the Korean public is actions with ignorance. BTS so heavily influential, you would assume they know a thing or too about their legacy. But the reality is majority of them don't. They think of BTS's popularity as a product of everything perfectly executed as that of what an Idol industry expects, at the right time with the right audience. When the truth of it is the exact opposite- right people wrong place ( the industry) Being oblivious to their artistic journey, their knowledge of BTS begins with unrelatability (star status) to some who accidently come across feed that show the human rootedness of the group. Take example of RM in Psick show. The stark number of middle aged men who shared their sentiment of surprise to the highly relatable and witty nature of RM against the tv/news persona they see of BTS. This relatability is what HeeJin played with. Resonating to the fantasies of office workers and fulfilling their (in reality impossible) dream of going at their bosses. Ironically Min is far from what they percieve. A manipulative, purely monetary headed women who has managed to get beyond what any business would offer but also knows how to portray oneself as the unrewarded. This + her words of her artistry being disrespected. To the Korean Public, artistry in Kpop= those behind the scenes alone. The number of times Korean bts reactors at the start don't Care about the lyrics is a simple example of the preconcieved prejudice over idols have no chance of artistry. The layers to these things go on. But the bottomline is, Korean public have had a long lasting history of seeing only within and right above their well, and acting unproductively upon their 'rightful concerns' to save the image of their country. Min knows this and also knows that the ignorance towards their countries own pioneers, is easily malleable due to the idea people have that BTS are where they are for successfully maintining the perfect idol image.

Thank you for a great video and for letting people who are baby army or new to bts know how it really is for BTS. They are not treated right by the entertainment industry, the media, or by their own government. Everyone outside of their story thinks they are beloved and revered by their home country but many in the industry, media, & government want them gone or out of the picture because they can't control them and they are not part of their kpop elite or part of their clique of corruption. They will use every opportunity to profit off of BTS if they can while simultaneously trying to tear them down. It's a very toxic situation. The smear campaigns are bad and I'm glad you mentioned Tablo because his situation just highlights as an example how false rumors in the Korean public can almost ruin careers or in other's cases even end it in Korea. International fans might not understand how bad and serious it can get in Korea because we don't have that situation in our countries in the same way.

Because of BTS and how NJ was promoted as their little sisters and fact NJ also debuted under Hybe....made me folowed and fell for their music.....but not anymore....I dont want to see them nor hear their songs....no hate to them as they are young girls but young girls also can differenciate right from wrong and also know there are consequences when a wrong choice is made....whatever happens to them after this....stay or leave Hybe.....I will never support them anymore. We as Army where stab in our backs while they support deformation on our boys...no way....

Thank you for explaining all this. The power of BTS is global. They are now a power greater than Kpop, as a group and as individual artists. The bigger you are the bigger target you become...everyone wants a piece of them. I so hope Army will continue to be their shield with love and support.💜

What's more sad is that other fandoms are joining hands and even taking hybe fandoms like bunnies and some of carats to go against BTS. They are spreading hate against BTS and especially Rm's new album on twitter,melon, tiktok etc plus commenting "Lets show them our power" as if they didn't debut under the agency BTS made with their blood, sweat and tears

I think people still equate our dedication to BTS as a general like of KPop. Most of us know that being a BTS fan means exactly that, that we like and admire these group of individuals and enjoy their music and the content they create. I’m waiting for BTS to return in whatever form they want, I’m not filling up their spot with another KPop group. I’m not going out and buying merchandise from any other group, or spending hundreds on concert tickets. Because no other group is BTS, they truly are the exception and the industry still does not understand it.

New texts show the MHJ explicated says they needed to do something about BTS before their return... AND she mentioned that this is what SM had tried to do before. I think she never really left SM. We need to support BTS & Hybe which is their home and under fire. BTS has a dream contract making them completely independent at Hybe. None of the other big labels will give them that. Plus they own stock in Hybe. The built Hybe with Bang PD.

Why do they drag BTS to everything. Our boys worked their butt off to not to receive those types of things. Please leave them alone.
