I like all the actors, don't know if they would have necessarily been my choice for the roles they have though. But the visuals look cool and there's enough good actors that it could end up being at least decent

Ariana Greenblatt has been on a roll lately. She's been in a lot of big stuff over the past few years. She played young Gamora back in Infinity War, she recently played young Ahsoka in the Ahsoka series, she was in the Barbie movie, and now this. She's really moving up in Hollywood. I just hope it doesn't affect her negatively too much.

As a Borderlands purist, they got a lot wrong here. That's not to say the movie doesn't look like it will be entertaining, it's just quite clear they made it for casual fans and not Borderlands fans. The characters are way off from what they are in the games. Still looks like a good time and I'll definitely watch it with an open mind.

I've got a LOT of hours of play time devoted to this series. All 4 big games, the first TellTale season... The only part I'm missing is the second TTG-esque storybook game, but we're still talking well over a thousand hours of play time between them. I won't say that I'm hyped about the movie, but I am encouraged by the trailer. Cautiously optimistic is a good description. The cast is solid, and could be great if Kevin Hart can pull off playing a comedic straightman. It looks like Roth hit the vibe with the setting and background, so my biggest concern is the writing. The dialogue needs to snap, the jokes need to land, and they have to be willing to push the boundary. I would feel better if they'd gotten Anthony Burch to help write it, but alas. This is one of those things where not only is it hard to get it really right, it's also incredibly easy to get it really, horribly, humiliatingly wrong. Several of my favorite moments in my personal gaming history were in Borderlands with my buddies, so I want this to be very good and do very well. I can deal with changes to the characters and the team and the like because I'm not a pedantic adolescent. To hell with gatekeeping purists. Make it wild and chaotic and funny, like Mad Max meets Deadpool, and it'll be fine.

I don’t play the games but, I have watched my younger brother play the games. I can’t wait to watch this movie. In my opinion, I don’t picture Kevin Hart in this movie because my younger brother said the character that Kevin Hart is playing as supposed to be act serious.

Kevin Hart as Roland is cool but apparently he isn't cracking jokes in this movie he is the straight man. This movie looks like Guardians of the Galaxy or trying to emulate that James Gunn tone. But that makes sense for a Borderlands movie, those games are crazy and usually hilarious. I think it would be better if the language was filthy and they went for the R rating. It is Eli Roth, but if they neutered the movie to make it PG13 that would be a bummer. Jamie Lee Curtis kind of makes sense as Tannis with her manic energy, and Cate Blanchett could be great Lilith. It would be cool to see her use her powers, but maybe that is part of the story and they don't want to spoil it for the trailers. Tiny Tina needs to be fucking insane and borderline annoying, but Claptrap also needs to be turned up to 11. I just wish this were rated R , but I'll still probably watch it even though it will use every Gunn cliche in the book.

People are saying the casting is off. Personally, I think it can work. The big question though is this: Rated R or no?

What I am annoyed by is Borderlands comes out in August and they already have their trailer out, but we still don't have a trailer to Alien: Romulus and Trap and both of those movies comes out in the same month as Borderlands. Although we are only a few days away from March maybe their waiting until March to release those 2 trailers?????

As someone who knows a lot this is going to be really bad but I'm still interested to see how bad 😂 These are my opinions Kevin is Roland (miscast too short, not serious enough Kate Blanchett is Lilith (miscast her look jus seems forced) Jaime Lee Curtis is Tannis she does not fit the look but the few seconds they showed her seems like she embodies the character The little girl Tiny Tina idk her actress but she seems like she'll be good The guy in the mask Krieg looks good And last but not least Jack as clapp trap idk ima need to hear more rn I'm not sold on it overall I hope this does turn out good and surprise us

Yeah, I’m a pretty die-hard fan and this feels more like guardians than borderlands. Even the music sounds more like the vol. 1 soundtrack than the heavy dub step it should be. The humor isn’t as dry or dark as it is in the game. Yeah, borderlands could be silly, but it was also really sly and adult and gritty. So if it isn’t rated R, I’m not going to see it. Normally I don’t care, but if there’s a video game that needs an R rating, it’s the one with the casual dismemberment and testicle jokes. Honestly it feels like the studio is trying to capitalize on as much existing popularity as possible instead of doing a borderlands movie. It’s part jumanji, part guardians, part Kevin hart playing Kevin hart, etc. They just kept the brand name to get another tie-in. Who knows, maybe it’s great, but the trailer for borderlands 2 did way more for me than this did.

Honestly as someone who is a die-hard Borderlands fan… there is a lot wrong with this trailer. I tried typing it all out with explanations on why I felt that way and it was way too long. Ain’t nobody reading all of that lmfao. But I’ll still watch it. Just not expecting much.

I mean… where he hell is Brick and Morty? Also why is Tannis so old? That’s ridiculous. And I like Kevin Hart, but Roland is a huge dude. Kevin is like negative 4 feet tall. The actress who’s playing Tina looks good, but she doesn’t sound at all like Tina, and she has a very specific way of being. Jack will probably be fine, but they realistically should have gotten the original voice actor for Claptrap.

I kinda want to see it but I'm afraid it's gonna suck ass, recasting would be a way to go for starters, no offence to Cate and the other except Tiny Tina's actress, never heard of her, adding other vault hunters would be great as well. I just really hope that it doesn't suck I'll be on a lookout for more trailers and whatnot, to actually see if I can't to see it or not.

Roland (Kevin hart) would never say no to Tiny Tina when it comes to explosives Lilith Just looks old with they could do better with the casting. not that Cate Blanchett would not do a good Lilith but she is a bit old to play said character Tiny Tina Actor is fine but her lines is not what Tiny Tina would say he should be more gremlin like. like for example when she gets the "piss" on her she should say something on the lines off "well at least I won't have to take a shower now since I just hade a golden one *laugher* she should be more gremlin like she should be crazy. (not the actors fault but the writers fault instead)
