I love the way you deliver the video. I need your suggestion though. I wanna purchase Iphone 15 pro, but I am still confused of the right storage size. One thing I try to think of is making sure a camera move starts on one great composition and ends on another. The trip between should be smooth, steady, and simple. Hi, i need a clarification about the videos taken either at 24 or 30 fps by my 14 pro max.its looking choppy and subject seems like shivering or look like jumping when i take a pan shot..little faster move as whip pan for e.g.. But when i take the scene using 60 fps its fine and smooth. my doubt is, 24 fps or 30 fps on i phone 14 pro max isn’t optimum to take some movements like whip pan or fast movement?.. do u have the same choppy feel while shoot on 24 or 30 fps at 4k or 1080? I’m facing on both 4k & 1080 while using 24 and 30 fps.. plz answer me about it..

When taking a photo, do you have tips on how to make a focal point less blurry when zooming in greater than 3x zoom? Same thing when zooming in and taking a video? I use my iPhone to zoom in and take photos/videos of my son playing goalkeeper from distance but they always look a little grainy.

these are good tips BUT just an extra tip...over last 3-4 years, a lot of scenics on YT have been produced with an almost overdrive of sound fx. Be realistic with your sounds...don't just go find "running water" sounds and drop in over a small creek and / or just drop in the sound with no tweak. The sounds in a lot of folks videos are just like stock drop ins and don't sound realistic, just sounds like someone plopped in stock sounds. When you're out and about, listen to things...understand how things from a distance sound compared to being up close then you can start tweaking sound fx , panning them to really bring things to life. Thats just me but

Great video! On another topic and something you might have touched on. I want to start shooting longer videos but I’m concerned about storage on the iPhone. What’s your workflow and how to keep the storage low, my though is to dump the videos to a hard drive or computer after your done editing. I would like to know your thorn this. Thanks.

I mostly edit the videos shot on my iPhone on my desktop using Final Cut Pro. So like you suggested, I airdrop it to my computer and copy them to an ext. Hard drive. After that I delete it off my phone :)

Pretty sure the highest quality video mode is unavailable unless you have an external plugged in, unless they changed it in one of the recent betas.

Excellent tips, every one of them, thank you. I'm not an iPhone user so I need to ask, are you setting a shutter speed at 2x frame rate (24 fps = 1/50 sec), or is the iPhone doing that for you? Or does that video camera 'rule' not apply to smartphones? Thanks.

Thank you very much! When using the default camera app, it's challenging to view the shutter speed values. To overcome this limitation, you'll want to opt for a professional video app like Filmic Pro. Since the aperture is fixed on most smartphones, adjustments for exposure rely on the ISO and shutter speed. In well-lit conditions, the shutter speed increases. For casual "run-and-gun" shooting, I don't mind sacrificing the natural motion blur in my shots. However, when striving for a more professional look or when producing a short film, I prefer setting the shutter speed at twice the frame rate using Filmic Pro in conjunction with an ND filter.

@@BenettGraezer Well, you just raised my understanding of video shooting differences between my Android and my Sony A7IV by a factor of 10! That's why post editing Sony A-roll and Android B-roll mixed footage will almost always require some color matching editing, if consistency is a goal. Thank you for a really thorough answer. 👏👏
