During the Heresy there was a really interesting blank named “spear”. Basically he could redirect psychic powers back at whoever attacked him if he has a sample of their blood. Erebus binded his soul to a daemon (I’m not joking) and he tried to assassinate the emperor with him. Horus stopped Erebus saying that he wanted to kill the emperor personally. these are so cool, Russ always carried a retinue when facing powerful psykers. It's how he broke Magnus' back. One of Magnus' generals I think Arimans mentor, knew this and started targeting them, but Russ reacted fast enough to use their abilities and beat the hell out of the thousands sons, reducing them to a thousand

Szeras the Illuminor has a very deep fascination with blanks and their genome so much so when he first saw the Pariah gene he had to experiment on it which then lead to the creation of necron Pariahs blanks that have went through Biotransferance sadly they haven't been a thing for a long time. He also will deliberately set off beacons for the imperium to send the blank assassins ( I can't remember their proper name) after him just so he doesn't run out of specimens. But I could be wrong on some of these points it's been a while since I looked into the lore.

So being a blank is a pretty good spot since you cannot be killed by some hungry demon in the warp. You have essentailly the most control over your fate for the average human.

Blanks make some useful agents of the Imperium. They have a type of psychic cloaking. 😂

I wonder what happens when a blank dies, because ordinary humans' souls end up in the warp (whether to a patron Chaos god or the God Emperor's presence in the warp), if they have no presence in the warp where do they go?

It seems like humanity is evolving in 2 different paths. The first is becoming increasingly more psychic while the second one is completely disconnecting itself from the warp and even repelling it.

This means that Captain Titus is probably not a Null. As most humans are fine around him. Looks like his resistance to Chaos has a different reason.

This should've been the route the Emperor have taken for mankind: a race immune and disconnected from the Warp.

Sisters of Silence can get to the point where people don't notice them. As in, the sister charges by you and kills a chaos astartes and all you see is this monster just die randomly (happened in the siege of terra, liked the chapters from the sisters perspective). There are some exceptions such as custodes. Culexus assassins on the other hand can adjust how strong their aura is. I think there was one who assassinated an ethereal of the Tau. Had its aura adjusted so that it casually walked into the base, unnoticed by literally everyone. Once inside the roomwith the target, it just cranked the aura up to max which was so bad the Tau (who should be more resistant because of their weak warp-link) all went insane or straight up died. Harsh stuff.

im running dark angels with a culexus assassin in their ranks. the way i imagine it, their abject hatred of chaos takes precedence over their distrust of outsiders. the culexus still has to eat lunch in his car though...

Also, after death souls typically goes to a different patron God of diseased. However, if person dies near particallary powerful pariah (culexus assassin for example), then souls just disappear. That's why Eldars fears them and tried to destroy culexus temple several times.

After playing dark tide thought being a psyker would be sick, after some simple research it seems far worse than just being a normal human and being a blank seems like a straight up better human

Some blanks Are considered to be the emperors children. But due to their ability to have no presence in the warp even the emperor is unaware of them. They themselves dont even know they heritage. I believe they make some points of this in the Jaq Draco book ‘Inquisition wars’.

This makes me think, i know it may not be possible, but imagine if there is a star system, somewhere far off in the reaches of the galaxy, that is completely filled with blanks, so it goes off the radar for everybody.

If you survive your childhood and find a few good friends who can ignore your blankness, then you are the safest mf'er in the Imperium. You just got to avoid catching a bullet and you're good.

Also they don't have to spend any time in the warp after death, just instant bliss

I just love that the grey knights in all their badassry just don’t want anything to do with the Sisters of Silence. They have to use all these magic tricks and holy relics and what not meanwhile all a Sister of Silence has to do is walk in the room to send daemons backwards.

And then you have the aide of Ciaphas Cain, gunner first class Ferik Jurgen of the 12th Valhallen Field Artillery, whose body odour could overwhelm even a Carnifex.

Would the Emperor be affected by blanks? Since he is a phsyker but yet so powerful

I sometimes wonder if I'm a blank because I'm always prone to upsetting those around me, almost always unintentionally.

I feel like a blank, sometimes.

Can you imagine of the missing primarchs has a blank gene and that primarch level blank gene things has gone so wrong in some way they are never to be mentioned? I know the emperor might had create the primarchs with soulsmithing but still thatd be pretty cool 😅
