Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). I attached the saw to a folding mobile stand to save space and that works great kzfaq.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe as well. However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.

Always keep your fingers further away from the blade unless you wish to loose them! Cutting really small pieces requires the greatest care and a better technique than is being displayed here at times.

@Ralph Reilly So true, there’s virtue in working to keep one’s fingers attached to one’s hands when using power tools.

@@conradpaul6100 Ideally don’t cut small pieces on a power saw, but if doing so is unavoidable use a hold down stick to keep your hands well out of harms way should something unexpected happen with the cut.

This test is only if you want to saw with precision, with a miter saw.(test is not intended for rough and hardwork). Tips and Test: Very important if you would like to saw with precision. (avoid torsion as much as possible)! Always choose a Miter saw with a handle positioned in a vertical line above the saw blade. Everything must be aligned, slide rails, handle, and saw blade,it is much better this way the blade will not tilt. Because there is some torsion in the aluminum housing . And choose an engine with softstart on it to prevent wear of the gear and worm shaft. It is very important that everything is aligned. Here are some examples to show how the handle must be positioned above the blade. Bosch gcm 800 sj / Bosch gcm 8 sjl / Evolution rage 3 / FESTOOL KS 60 / HITACHI C12RSH2 / FESTOOL KS 60 E KAPEX / Metabo KGSV 72 Xact (This also is the case with the Miter saw without the slide rails). If you want you can test it yourself at home if there is torsion in the aluminum housing. Step-1. First you make a saw cut from +-5 mm deep in to a flat piece of wood about +- 20 mm thick to this with the normal handle positioned on the right side of the Miter saw (the wood it will remain in place until the test is completed). Step-2. Then repeat this by pushing the saw blade down with your hand (finger) on the aluminum protective cover were the saw blade is cased in. Just now only do this without the running engine. Step-3. Now you can see if the saw blade will be positioned in or next to the saw cut. If the saw blade is (+- 0,2 / 0,5 mm) next to the saw cut then there is torsion in the aluminum housing (test is completed). Step-5. When you measure the vertical 90 degrees angle square (Digital Level Box) of you're sawblade don't forget that there is always some torsion in the aluminum housing. Conclusion:how further away the handle is from the saw blade how more chance of torsion in the aluminum housing don't go for that (the choices are yours). Also with a cheap slide miter saw it is still better the handgriff in line a above the saw blade than on the right side. Maybe they will make it someday then we have a winner...

Hello, you like it? It's ok this table saw? I want to buy one and i don't know which model to choose, thanks
@furulevi
@furulevi 4 жыл бұрын
I like it... especially the soft start function! It has no light, no laser, the dust is not collected well enough, the motor is not brushless or induction, but other than these it does the job correctly and accurately. It is not for longitudinal cuts, but more for perpendicular cuts. For longitudinal cuts use a table saw. I used at 45 degrees also and it is very good!

I unpacked my new Bosch Mitre saw yesterday. So far so good The first thing I did was to remove the depth stop threaded part and replace it with a longer bolt with lock nuts (double nuts tightened against each other) and washers - I do not want the depth stop to move even slightly while I am using the machine.

Could this saw be used for cutting steel box section
@furulevi
@furulevi 2 жыл бұрын
I think yes, just use a saw blade for steel and don't attach a textile dust bag so it won't catch on fire because of the hot metal particles.

@kiwigrunt330
@kiwigrunt330 Жыл бұрын
@Ralph Reilly Because it doesn't make smooth cuts, no matter what blade I put in it. The blade seems to vibrate its way through the timber. I think it is because the housing between the motor and the pivot point it not stiff enough to prevent lateral flex. My Elu PS 174 and almost identical Dewalt DS700 that I've used for the last 35 years do not have this problem and make a perfect cut with the same blades every time.

This looks like a cheaper version of the CM8s, the one I just bought. The compound angle adjustment is now at the back on this saw and the table wings are now just rods. Weird. Why wouldn't Bosch make this a dual bevel saw in the update? This update looks like a downgrade.

Next time you make a video, it might be better to leave out the inappropriate (almost seedy porn vid) music, and instead give us a commentary of what exactly we're looking at, instead of the pointing gestures etc. This was like watching the live version of an Ikea instruction booklet 😳
