Bosch Injection Pump Reassembly pt1

Well, I was able to reassemble the Bosch EP / VA6 injection pump for the old Farmall International 706 tractor. I had to cut it into two parts. I hope this helps some of you out there who bravely take on the task of cleaning or rebuilding a Bosch VA BR style injection pump.
Clarity: at 5:45 the hollow cap goes on the right side of the cylinder and receives the spring. The hollow end of the piston faces left and is closed off by the solid plug.

Good video but my pump is leaking behind the control plate are there O rings on the shafts thanks

Did you ever get this pump working? I just rebuilt one on a D239 international 4 cylinder. A few things I learned when reinstalling the pump, I timed it just like your video - put the crank at 14 degrees and line up the mark in the window on the side of the pump. When priming the pump I used the bleeder screw but I also cracked the return banjo screw because it has a check in it to maintain a few PSI.

Hello, I have a question. I just want to ask you i have the same pump and i didn't have problem with linking, but I have problem with starting the tractor. Can you help me please, thank you.

Hi, Goran. I can try. When did the engine last run? Is diesel flowing to the pump?

I started it this morning bearlly and after five hours it wont started again. I think that the fuel goes to the pump. The only problem is the first starting the tractor. We dont have people who can fix this pumps. When l pull sauh the tractor turns off.
