Bosch VA6 Injection Pump Disassembly 1

I desperately need to get one of the old tractors running. The old Farmall 706 is not squirting any diesel through the lines. I've done tests and troubleshooting for 2 years now, so working on the pump is the final step. This is the first video on the disassembly of the Bosch EP/VA6 injection pump.

I have a 454 with a Bosch on it and found if I sprayed it with dawn spray dish washing liquid it takes most of the crap off of the pump

Dang bro! You have excellent patience and a steady hand. I’ll be honest, I’d never attempted this job. I just have no knowledge in injector pumps. Looking forward to the following parts. 👍👋🏼

These D310 German engines have a good reputation, but trouble with the injection pump is pretty bad on any diesel engine. This thing is pretty complicated, but I have a good manual. I also recently found a good video by Salam Sayhood on a VA4 pump. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps some people.

Lol. I asked a couple questions on another video about something like this then checked your channel. I’ve got certain things I’ve gotta get involved in with my 706. I’ll try not too be a pain in the ass with too many questions. How far away from Ohio do ya live😅

No pain at all. Hopefully I can help. We're actually in Louisiana, sorry! I'm still learning about this old tractor, but I've learned so much about it in two years. I did buy a shop manual for the engine, which is very valuable. Will upload one about replacing hydraulic fluid and filter soon, too.
