just replaced my old bosch and so thought i might tell you all what I think of it, hopefully it will help you ✌❤✌

Thanks for your thoughts on the 1400. I am looking for a router to get into guitar building. So this is very welcome and appreciated.

I'm happy I found your video, as it was very helpful. I only have a small Ryobi trim router right now and was hoping to upgrade to this, but I'm worried about visibility with big routers. I've never used a plunge router. Is that an issue or similar to trim routers regarding visibility?

Its maybe a little harder but not something to worry about you will get use to it I would suggest making a throwaway project or two and then you will have learned all you need 🙂 just keep in mind that this has more power and you will be all good 👍

Isn't for routing PU-slots etc. a smaller and maybe a cordless router easier to use?

I can't tell you what you're gonna prefer but I think having a wide base to sit on the templet is good and to me it's more important than it being cordless 😊🤷‍♂️ I have a smaller router but it's for inlay work😊 hope this helps 🤗

Is it really hard to push down the handles? I need to use my body weight to down machine to zero level. (ACE 1400)

Its a little hard but not that hard you should check the manual and see how to adjust that might have to oil it

Did you find the fine adjustment control to be stiff or not smooth?

Stiff but easy to move

I bought one of these and tried it for the first time today. Mine sticks at the top and takes a lot of effort to push down. I'm a little disappointed with it.

That sucks I'm sorry to hear 😔 sounds like there is something wrong with it I only hade that problem with my old one towards the end you should return it
