My parents bought me these for Christmas. I didn't even ask for a Christmas gift this year and they just surprised me with these. I absolutely love them, the sound quality is sooo much better than anything I could actually afford myself. I really like the touch controls and the customizable settings in the app.

Airline adapter is being phased out on all planes, the standard is 3.5mm jack. I assume thats why is no longer included.

Bose 700 app was updated with an added EQ and the sound is great. I'm happy with this update because I purchased my Bose 700 just three weeks ago. I'm not disappointed anymore with my music sound on this Bose 700.

Interesting... the "smooth" adjustment is exactly what Apple went with... and people LOVE that... but when Bose did it in 2019 with smooth clean design... it's controversial.

As a drummer, I've been using mostly homemade noise cancelling headphones for decades. I currently use gun shooting range headphones with a high quality audio speaker and cable built into it. Vic firth, another drum company, made a pair as well that I had many years ago. I also used to buy gun ear protection headphones and then put my earbuds in them to play music on my ipod and drum at the same time. Interested to try these out.

Got my Bose 700 just yesterday and loving them already! The noise cancellation is just amazing, call quality is good too. The sound is also great - i do not know why so many people complained about Bass. I was confused earlier on the bass, but don’t see any issue with it after listening to music and taking call for two days. Trying to get used to the touchpad and understand how exactly the connection works though, sometimes its confusing. Another thing is they are so light that i can literally not feel anything on my head. I don’t regret my decision. Go for it!

The QC35 came with the airline adapter, but the QC35 II didn't (when I bought mine a year or two ago). The free headset on planes often have one of the airline adapters attached to a standard 3.5mm jack, so you can usually score one on the plane if all else fails.

The updated bose does include an adjustable eq for these headphones now.

3:49 They have the EQ now. Bass is super DEEP. Also the new charging case is quite nice. I have the eclipses with the charging case and love it.

I got the Sony ones a few months ago and they r just straight up the best value there is I think I’ve charged them 5 times and the sound, portability, NC r all absolutely amazing

this new direction of using gesture / touch for controlling headphone is really hard to adapt.. I prefer physical buttons over touchpad

As a person who uses my QC25's daily my heart skips a beat when I open up the Amazon link to see that they cost a whopping $399.00. IDK who you are $399 for non-audiophile/placebo-magic headphones is just outrageous.

04:45 They updated the app. It does now have EQ! 05:58 They are btw exactly the same weight (0,25 kg). The Sony's just *feel* lighter because of the plastic instead of cold metal finish on the Bose.

In the review of Sony you mentioned that it can't handle cold and acts weirdly. Does BOSE have the same issue? I'm trying to choose between these two, and since I live in Russia...it's kinda a question of importance :D

I purchased these headphones 18 months ago. the earmuffs wore out and broke from the arms of my glasses wearing on the material, I do wear them an average 5-6 hours a day everyday, I called the service number in New Zealand and got the call center in the Philippines at 3PM on Monday and the new parts that I could install myself were shipped from Australia to New Zealand and on my doorstep within 40 hours, free of charge. I have been and always will remain a loyal Bose customer since my first set of 901 speakers all those years ago. The next day (before the new parts arrived) as a back up I purchased the Bose NC triple black wireless earbuds, very impressed with the sound quality and 18 hour battery life on both sets.

Sony focused on call quality improvement also but no microphone test just "better mic"? This is missing a big use case at least for this Bose series.

I have the Sony WH1000XM3 since a few months and I love it. It's perfect when you use public transport and you don't like screaming children in the train/bus

Hello. I recently picked up a set of the Bose NC700'S from Ebay. At first, I didn't like them, because I thought the sound for music, was just okay, but really nothing special. The same with call quality, it was good, but again, nothing very special. Well, let me tell you, when it comes to listening to the headphones with music, check the equalizer settings and kind of play around with them. I am totally blind so I use voice over on my iPhone 8. When I updated my headphones at first, the equalizer settings on the bose music app were completely inaccessible with voice over. I called Bose twice and talked with a couple different reps who really weren't much help. Well, I checked my iPhone updates and I found that the app had a recent update that I didn't know about. The EQ was mentioned in this update. I updated the app, and man, what a difference!!!!! The eq settings are now fully accessible with voice over. I set the bass boost to on, and that completely makes my headphones sound so much better. I highly recommend the bose NC700S. The overall design is so much better then the Sony headphones there is just no comparison. The Sony headphones are so light and feel like plastic junk. You'd think they would be better designed. I know they wanted to cut down on weight, but come on. Just grab the Bose, you'll be so glad you did.

The touch pad works soooo good! ACN is also sooo good! Sound is Bose and the design and feel is soo modern and great! The silver edition looks even better! Great Job Bose! I got them and love them!

You nailed it. Thanks for a great review. Now to those comments that are always knocking Bose, that's the price they pay for being a premium headset. Many years ago I bought a Bose SoundLink II. Not the mini one the other one. The build quality is outstanding. Never a problem. I will buy these headsets. I have never regretted buying a Bose product. Your review just settled it for me.

Last 2 years I've used the QC25s and am picking up the 35s next week. But....... When I see folk with the new Sony's I have to admit, they look good and for me, being 45 and still using my old walkman for tapes, to my Sony Nwz A845, Sony are thee best when it comes to music. I know you could argue that with more experienced folk, but they have the history and let's face it, there still always up there with everyone else. Good day guys.
