So the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is a great mid teir Soundbar that has improved instrument separation from its predecessor and it also has true dolby atoms support. Personally I feel that you can’t go wrong with the Smart Soundbar 600 and its an all around solid pick up. But today we’re going to compare the 600 to the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 and we’re also going to compare it to Bose’s entry level Soundbar, The Bose TV Speaker.

I just bought the 600 hundred and am very happy with it. It has all the bells and whistles I need. The dialogue is very clear and it is great for music. And it fits in very unobtrusively in our living room.

Agreed. Bose 600 is fantastic. I am really impressed. The sound of the 900 is a little clearer. I wanted to add a sub but you don’t really need it, if you don’t watch movies all the time.

Wow, thanks for the comparison! Helped me decide which is a better fit for my room. The sound of 900 has more body and 600 is neat and less fatiguing.

I recently got the 600 soundbar and have it hooked up with the bass module 500 and so far it’s great for me. I will also be adding the surround speakers at Christmas Boxing Day sale if it goes on sale. Before I upgraded to this 600, I had the bose tv speaker with the bass module n it’s pretty okay but the 600 is much better! Also I am able to add the surround speakers and I love that to complete my setup fully! I love Bose 😍.

The 600 is not as loud as the 900 but the 600 to me seems more clear and clean

How big is the room you were demonstrating in? I have the 900 and am considering the 600 for a much smaller room. Apples to apples, the 900 clearly is fuller sounding. The acoustics of the room may account for some of that. Thanks!

It sounds like to 900 is just more of the 600. Whereas the 600 is an upgrade to the Bose TV speaker. It sounds like if you have a small/ medium size room, get the 600. If you have a Medium high/ Large room get the 900.

When I went to Best Buy and heard the difference between the two sound bars: 600 and 900. The 600 beat the 900 as far as immersive, purity and even bass! Because the sound bar 900 was so flipping loud, it sort of all became relatively one loud crash. Everyone in the store heard that soundbar 900! So the Dolby atmos was most effective on the 600.

Currently in Canada Gerson discounts and the 900 is around $900 and the booth 600 is around five50 $. Should I buy the Bose 600 and pair of $500 subwoofer or should I go for 900 only I have are just a medium size living room not huge, but not too small as well and there is no problem with the neighbours because I am living in the house. Any suggestions??

my only question is, does the bose 600 offer the same surround sound as the 900? for example, they say withe 900, it feels like there are physical speaks surrounding you. does the 600 have that same effect?

Great demonstration with sound I thought it was great and very helpful. Also, you forgot to point out all speakers for the 900. There are 9 speakers and you only pointed out 7.

I have the cheapest bose soundbar for years which I got for $100 referbished on ebay deals, 😂 is not even the $200 TV speaker but the cheaper option Bose solo 5 and its been a great soundbar for what i needed for it at that time, but here its Black Friday and those Bose soundbars are on sale. I have always been impressed with Bose, just an incredible brand and im yearning for an improved experience for my music and tv. Wanting to upgrade for my bedroom tv but the 600 is on sale for $399 and the 900 is on sale for $599. I have never seen the 900 that low so ive been deeply considering just buying that for the best possible experience, but I know the 600 is alot more practical and imo looks better without the glass top so I think thats honestly the right call even if the top product is so close in price. Such a hard decision though!

The 900 has two audio radiator phaser things where you said it had the bass chambers. Right? Sort of like what they put in 360* audio technology.

Awesome review. I currently have the Bose Soundtouch 300 with the Acoustimass unit and two Invisible surround speakers (2018 models). I'm looking to upgrade, which do you recommend, the Bose 600 or Bose 900 (medium sized living room)? Also, will the Acoustimass subwoofer and surround speakers be compatible with the new 600 and 900 models.

Tbh I’m curious if the Bose 600 would be a upgrade from my wireless Roku speakers. I feel like it might be especially with the sub but don’t know if it’s worth the $500+

If you plan to use the Dolby Atmos feature it’s absolutely worth it. If you don’t stream from Atmos supporting platforms or have a 4K Blu ray player then I’d go with something else.

i got the bose soundbar 600 and the BassModule 500 - I highly highly recommend the bass module, it adds a new depth/loudness and bass dimension to the overall experience. You can go for the refurbished one from bose and you'll save some money. The 600 does more than enough for a large sized living room and can still feel the bass.

Definitely adds a new dimension, noticeable more so when watching TV, because without bass unit, it can sound tinny. Definitely worth buying it.

Can either the 600 or 900 play on the headphones and the bar (or added speaker) simultaneously? I have a child with misophonia and am looking for a solution where we can all watch a movie and eat popcorn without it driving her berserk.

Where are the sound adjustments? All I can find is Dialog enhance, bass, & treble. No Hall, concert, movie, etc. It feels like this is made with a lack of features so grandpa doesn't get confused & hit the wrong thing. Kind of silly for $900. If it weren't for dialog enhance working so well for my wife, I'd be returning it. Audio quality isn't $900 worth in my book. Also, my brother in-law & I both thought the glass top was part of the display to hold it in place. Looks ugly to us.

I already wanted to buy 900 sounbar together with bass module 700 but then I found a lot of complaints about the sound quality and low-frequency speaker errors and malfunctions. So I'm not sure if it's worth buying this model or beter chooe another one like jbl 1000 or sony ht a7000. Any sugestions?

I just bought the combo of bar 900 + sub 700 2 months ago. It works like a charm and the sound quality is perfect. I suggest don't listen to anyone, go to the shop to experience the live sound and you will have your decision.

Same here, i was leaning towards JBL or Sony since I have tried their sound systems already but when i heard the Bose 600 and the module 500, i was sold. So immersive, clear and crisp. No more bass whoooping gangster sound....i also got a surround rear speaker. No regrets.

All of them sound like complete trash. You need at the very least 2 x tweeter plus bass driver to be able to produce real stereo. With single tweeter all of these are playing only in Mono and not in stereo. They try to fake by some DSP or something the multi channel

You do realize this is playing over phone speakers and probably recorded with a standard camera These sounds bars sound really nice nice in person
