Hello & Welcome to the Pedal Head Show!
Today we’ll be checking out the classic
Boss DS-1.
I’ll be discussing 3 popular mods for the DS-1.
1. JCM 800 mod ;Tone stack cap change to give this pedal Marshall JCM 800 breakup tones/feel.
2. Octave Synth Fuzz Mod with crazy self oscillation archive this by connecting 2 points on the back of the PCB board to each other with AWG to a SPST switch.
3. Gated Synth Fuzz. Archived by the same method as the octave synth fuzz mod but to a different point. Enjoy a biased round fuzzy tone or a gated synth for some shoe-gazing tones.
Wampler JCM 800 mod explained:
C3 change to 0.033 uf film
R17 change to 15k
C2 1 uf
D4 2 x 1N4148 in series
D5 2 x 1N4001 in series
C5 change to 1 UF
C9 change to 1 UF
* Optionally change R13 to 1k for more gain also change C8 to 1 uf

really good video but that delay making demo not really objective i think you should turn it off

Hey thanks for your comment! I’m a bit confused on what you exactly mean by “delay making demo.” Do you mean there’s two much delay on the Helix patch I was using? Please let me know. Again, thanks for your comment & keep on rocking!

@@Pedalheadshow I ran at custom shop PRS into a hand wired fender tremolux Zero distortion then I ran it through my Divided by 13 JRT 9/15 head and cab Zero distortion. Sent it back
