@@JaredGunstonTV I've added a fs-6 to both the ve500 and the gt1000. I am making a pedalboard, so I can just have a quick setup. The fs-6 comes in handy when I want to do a delay throw, and harmony on the ve500. On the Gt1000 I use the fs-6 for channel changes and solo patches.

@@JaredGunstonTV yes, but I dont think its going to be big enough. I am thinking the gt1000,and the ve500 need to be raised up a bit. I also added a volume pedal. I am determined to build it, I have bought some materials. I have been practicing with them loosely on the floor. Trying to get a feel where the pedals need to be. Maybe we can share some pictures and ideas.

@@JaredGunstonTV I'm own VE-500 just for a few months it's really good fun. Every time I discovered something new. That is the best. EQ was surprised me also same like you. It's possible to assign FX buttons for extra effects. Factory Presets are always empty with FX1 and FX2. Push doen both at this same time and will be possible to start using FX 1 and FX2 button. This same is with Baypas button. When you will familiar with software on PC then you will be more understand little display. It's not difficult but have a lots to chose and could be disappointed where is what on first week but after time everything will be easier and able to control without PC 😉 Enjoy its really good and I waiting on your new video ☺️

@@uszak_ had my first rehearsal with it tonight so I'm making good progress. I'm familiar with the UI I had a Ve5 for awhile and loved it... This is that on steroids. Oh and ps yea already hooked my fs6 up and midi clock from my gtcore to keep delays in time with my guitar patches 👍😁

I like it, it's part of my rig now. As for slap back if there's a delay there's slap back u just gotta dial the settings in to make ur own slap back. Normally a quick delay with short feedback.

@@JaredGunstonTV Thanks for your feedback on this Boss unit. I'm trying to do a simple rig with the BeatBuddy pedal for "riddim" and something like this VE-500 for vocal harmonies and vox reverb/delay. Two use cases are for songwriting and for a simple acoustic gig live rig into an acoustic amp or portable PA. The BeatBuddy has been one of the most fun songwriting tools I've purchased in the past 5 years. I can get to drum patches that I like much faster than clicking through thousands of EZdrummer patches - although I do like EZdrummer and Superior Drummer for actual song tracking in Logic Pro. I simplified my song ideas workflow and improved the sound quality and don't mess with a DAW or "project" for printing these rough ideas. All I do is print everything using the Audio Record function in QuickTime and dump the idea in a folder to see if it's worth the full song treatment later. Have a mic on a scissor stand and pull that down when I want to record an idea. Plug in my acoustic and keep the BeatBuddy wired in. Simple and works for me :)

there's a bell around 13khz, well spotted - like i've said a million times, i can't hear it by above 10/11khz i can only hear top ESS sounds from cymbals, and instruments, but that bell i boosted beyond 20db and i still can't hear it... you're hearing must be quiet good, i knew a engineer who could hear up there and he'd go mad and none of us knew why.

Sorry about that. Usb to pc, obs recording direct from ve500. Mic straight into ve500, xlrs from ve500 to a mixer for my personal monitoring.

@@JaredGunstonTV Thank you for your reply, I need to buy a USB cable and I just wanted to see how you did it and how the VE-500 acknowledged the connection. also, do you need to connect 2 microphone leads from the VE-500 to the P.A. is it possible just to use one only?

@@Musicman7 if you want STEREO, 2. I'm currently running mine in 2xMONO (essentially giving me 2 sends if need be for monitor/foh) As much as i prefer it in stereo, most pas i plug in are running in mono, so rather safe then sorry. USB in win 10 (if you just run win update scan after pluggin in it installs the driver and the editor will see it)

No harm in doing a few mic settings u want universal such as low cut perhaps a few ew tweaks you like. I run into my mixer and do all my eq from my unit. And I cut mids just slightly on my mixer.

@@JaredGunstonTV so you do your main live vocal EQ in the unit, and then do gig-relevant on the fly tweaks on your FOH mixer? Thanks!

If you set the key, you have options like chromatic, minor, major etc. I haven't used that sort of setting though since the ve5, cause I let my guitar do the work now 😁

Because 1. The majority of singers (and a lot of guitarists) have a problem with (even basic) music theory and 2. To use this feature live you would have to program a few (or many) user presets.

Haha, no such thing as stupid questions. Same setup as you, using OBS I could record the audio. But to hear myself I think I was running it into a small behringer mixer from the XLR outs to my headphones.

I have no experience with the others but have ALOT of experience with boss vocal pedals even from the ve5, and I had a partner who had an amazing raspiness and it worked great for her. This pedal is great if you put the time in, check out the setup videos in the play list on the channel 👍

@@JaredGunstonTV oh trust me, I watched all of them lol. I'm covering a lot of Nirvana, ACDC, GNR in our band and this voicelive seems like it has too many things that could go right or wrong with it lol. It works pretty well for the guitar tones, but just upgraded to the Helix LT and haven't looked back. Thanks for the response!
