You are so right. Many of my friends that were around when this song came out are gone. Many friends I met after this song came out are gone. Seems like the days and those I know are slipping away faster as time goes on. Do you drink to remember, or drink to forget?

I was then 28 , in Abu Dhabi looking for tape for my cassette. A Jordanian told me "try this " I said "what's that ? It's new "BOSTON" made in Indonesia clear sound. I bought it. Upon reaching my hostel..I played it with my Akai sound system using JVC Speakers. I played first "don't look back", all my Filipino co-workers came to my room asking where I got it..later on that evening , all my friends got their own Boston cassette tapes. Good old memories. I'm now 73 and still dig it..Boston forever.

I mean they only took Todd Rundgren in like last year, presumably after realizing he was more relevant to rock and roll than the HoF will ever be. I guess Boston is due but it's the HoF's loss if anything. Every great artist not in there just highlights how pointless the whole concept is.

I was born & raised in CT. I was 13 years old in 1978, but was already rocking out to Boston. They along with Aerosmith, J.Giles Band, The Cars, etc. were New England's finest. Boston never really got the recognition they SO earned & deserved until long after the fact. Brad Delp was one of the best ever vocalists in Rock & Roll. Tom Scholz is a highly underrated guitarist and musician. Boston was unique and there will never be another. RIP Brad & Sib! Thanks for the music & the memories. And...it is just criminal that Boston was never inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I’m 41 now & this is one of my favorite songs of all time & sometimes seems like the story of my life. I was misdiagnosed with panic attacks my first week of college in 2001 at age 18. Before turning 22 an EEG & MRI revealed my panic attacks were non convulsive simple partial seizures caused by a grey matter heterotopia. After getting them controlled I went back to college at age 30. A year later I developed occasional absence seizures & lost the ability to drive at age 31 before finally graduating. I also lost my mom to breast cancer in January. However I finally see the dawn arriving & see beyond the road I’m driving as I have a great family, friends, a good job with great coworkers, & hobbies I enjoy to pass the time at home & outside of the house

Yeah, good Ol' Tom. Living his Dream at the expense of Brads voice regardless of the mental health issues or how he overworked Brads voice. Every one says that Brad only made it big because of Tom's production and mixing of the stuff they did in his basement studio. He used all of the guys in Boston to achieve HIS OWN DREAMS regardless of the fallout he left in his wake. Like most super intelligent people Tom was driven to make Boston a success, and like most genius people he would use who ever he had to so he didn't fail. It's unjust to let the idea of fame and fortune turn a person into a dictatorship, that risks the health of the people who actually have talent, so they can be famous. I am a fan of the music Boston made. I am not a fan of Tom, he was close enough to the inner circle of the band, if he wasn't so busy trying to prove his self he might have noticed that he had band members who needed a break and maybe some counselin. RIP Brad.

Man, everyone looks so happy in this video! It seems surreal, because if this was made today everyone would be seeing the show through their smartphones. I think it’s sad and kind of disrespectful.

I will say it again: seriously!! has Boston in this album produced a bad song. I don’t think so. Truly a band that will be being played long after we are all gone. Of that I am absolutely certain about. Timeless!!Amazing!! The superlatives keep coming out for : BOSTON!!👍👏👏👏👍👍👍👏👏

A long time ago, while driving west on I-70 in St. Louis, I was listening to KSHE-95 (Real Rock Radio) and this song was on. An hellacious thunderstorm had just rolled through the area and was finally moving east. Right at the bridge of the song, when Brad sings "Oh the sun is shining and I want to know..", the sun began slowly appearing from behind the clouds... by the time the drums finished with the 16th notes with both bass drum kits and Tom launched into the solo, the sun was shining bright. It was a once in a lifetime thing to see--and anyone else driving out by Lindbergh Boulevard and I-70 while listening to this song would have seen it, too. It stays with me to this day.

One word as to why this band is not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame is “jealousy “. Perhaps, in my opinion,to date, the best vocals in rock history.

Without a doubt the best rock band ever. Seeing Boston play live was a dream realized when I saw them on the third stage tour. Their music still gives me goosebumps and brings a tear whenever I watch a live concert

Hello Brothers. I have read many comments outta here before daring namming you all "brothers"and I feel, at 58 yo, that we almost lived the same lives and feel the same about nowadays. Though we must pay attention to not always think and express ourselves as "it was better yesterday", and that we all know that because we are smart people, it is very hard to avoid to think that. As a french man, I lived at St Pierre et Miquelon by the late 70's, a little french island south of Newfoundland when Boston came out from nowhere, and it has been a flash, I was not a so happy teen, and this music opened a new world in my mind. As Kiss, Kansas, Ted Nugent and Van Halen did to me though in different ways. We were free, we werer young, the future did not appeared to be what it became later on. When I then came back to France, I was sad because the french people did not listen to that music, at all. Rock critics hated these bands. They had eyes and respect only for those who came from punk rock, and this was true in the 80's and is still the same now. Clash, The Jam, etc etc...Though I also enjoy these bands, I have never ubderstood why were they so agressive towards Styx ? Music is good, nicely composed, talentedly played, people love it, so what's going on ?!? My wife also tells me that I live in the past, and my love prefers to listen to actual music that is more lightly listenable. Living in the past ? I don't think so. Maybe a psychanalist would say that in this crazy world we are searching ensurance deep inside of us and what would be more ensurable that this nice positive feel free, feel love music ? Brothers, I think absolutely that it is dangerous to think that yesterday is always better, but in other hand, I wonder myself is the 60's and the 70's could not be considered in all the human history in the occiental history as the golden age ? I'm afraid that this is it...and i'm sad for our children not not know how great, it could have been, without considering this era as perfect for everybody of course ! Because, yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes (Calvin Russel). By the way, for those who do not know Calvin, please begin listening to Soldier and then Crossroads, you might catch the virus that catched me when this so human and kind Texas outlaw came out in France by the early 90's and made our country is second home. Peace and feliz to all you guys, love your brother, and get suspicious with the politics. All of them. Rock n Roll is the medecine.
