I'm in northern Illinois and while we've had some very cold weather these last few weeks our snow has been moderate. Of course because of very cold temps the snow sticks around. And we're not done yet ❄ Greetings to Boston!

$100/car is good cash. I was doing my driveway yesterday and I did part of my roof this morning. I'm about to do the rest of my roof. I don't live in the city anymore but digging out cars was always a pain because of the problem of where to put the snow. The worst was getting your car plowed in and then a melt/freeze cycle where your tires were encased in ice. I'm in NH now where finding places to put snow isn't a problem.

How do those space saver parking spots work? How does anyone get out? I imagine there has to be something to slide them sideways but then how would that work with snow?!
@crm1225

It only took me about 30 minutes to dig my car out. Easy playful workout on a Sunday morning. Met a lot of neighbors too. What are these people in South Boston? Are they all introverted feeble aerospace engineers and lawyers over there earning $100+ an hour post-tax? Pay another person ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS so they dont have to come outdoor and play with snow for an hour? Geez!

@Zolar Czakl I remember both winters. In 94 they were piling snow up on Mission Hill where Calumet and St Alphonses meet. It created a kind of island. That pile was there until at least the middle of April. It was the first time I ever heard of The T shutting down too. 15 just sucked. let's not even talk about it.

We are entering into a Grand Solar Minimum, a 390 year cyclic cooling trend. Indeed we are 2 years into it already and will get worse every year for the next 32 to 42 years. Cooler atmosphere contracts which slows down the jet stream causing huge loops in the stream. This is why the climate is changing now, why there is snow in the Sahara and record rain in in other countries that are typically dry. The last GSM, the Maunder Minimum, you may recall in your history books where the Thames froze over, crops failed world wide, and diseases proliferated. This new Minimum, right on time, is called the Eddy Minimum. You are being lied to regarding global warming.
