Botanical field journal draw along with me

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for joining me today. I am excited to start sketching again. There is something about the warm weather that makes me want to fill a journal with sketches.
I love the idea of a field journal on local wild flowers. I wanted to accumulate details and facts about the plants that grow around me and ones I look forward to seeing every spring. I hope this video inspires you to give it a go and draw some flowers that are local to you. All stages of the plant can be beautiful and offer something fascinating to capture in a sketch book.
Let me know if you like this style video and would like to see more. Maybe we can fill a journal together.
I am using watercolour sketch pad 80 cold press, a 0.3 micron pen and HB pencil.

I definitely love having your voice in the background, walking me through things! I don’t mind it being longer since this is something I too enjoy and take my time with, in fact if it’s rushed I get annoyed. I like having my coffee and being here with you!

I really really like seeing the same flower or leaf etc from so many angles. In real life, very few flowers will be facing you; maybe in a vase, but not on a plant. Yesterday I pulled a branch of blooming dogwood down to inspect. Many blooms were not perfect blooms with spots and curling edges, missing petals etc. Most were quite beautiful but to be a realistic artist, you have to include the imperfections. Thank you for this lovely time. 💝

Stunning sketches as always but the consensus seems to be in; we miss the personal approach with your talking. I do wish that you didn’t feel rushed when you did that though. If it takes away from the joy you get from sketching then I understand, but know that we are in absolutely no rush while you sketch and chat 💕

I absolutely loved this, I'd love to be able to draw like you. I did find I missed hearing your voice and for me I would have liked it zoomed a bit more so I could see it clearly, but I so enjoyed it, you're creativity is just incredible, thank you for these amazing videos-

Love these! I like hearing you talk though, but definitely want to see more videos of your drawings please. Your explanations make drawings so doable. Might I suggest doing more closeup filming though please? I watch all these videos on my phone so this seems really small when looking at the whole page.

Love your art! Would a voiceover be possible? Or breaking in with a voiceover when you think a verbal direction would help? Also, the music was a bit repetitive but I have no issue with muting it. ❤

Great sketches, but I need your vocal as you go instructions. I felt the camera was too far away for me to see the beginning center flower and sketch while watching you, the music lulled me almost asleep.
