@@Welcome2Niches not really. That is a tick. Where one is compelled to repeat an action multiple times. It takes specific concentration not to do the tick. If you noticed how he fidgeted his leg while playing, it's the same, he would have had to specifically concentrate on NOT fisgeting to hold that leg still, and even then it would be only last for a couple of seconds before that leg started bouncing again.

@semasiologistics 2 жыл бұрын
@Mr. Mr. Yes, exactly, she loses her queen, he loses his rooks, which isn't where she wanted to be, and which she admitted (of course). So, no, he messed that up because in the end he threw away his advantage. The build up wherein her bishop was hanging and would be lost as well as her queen... that was his. He could have taken the bishop, lost rook, queen takes rook, rook take queen, king takes rook. Queen vs no queen, pretty much a lost game. I haven't looked back to the specifics, but that's what I remember seeing in the video. Her own admission around that time as well says a lot.

Yup, that's what I was thinking. It's not a 'tick' as some people have stated. He knows what he's doing - it's a distraction technique to get your opponent to focus on the fake 'tick', thereby taking their concentration away from the game. I often trash talk when playing against good players. I start spouting things like "I remember that time I ended up with just 2 rooks, no other pieces, and I got whitewashed. Made me realise how valuable it was to have at least 1 knight". And then I see the player squirming as I try to capture their knights 😂

Honestly I don’t think he was just trying to be slick. If you look the multi-tapping happens nearly every time he uses the clock, even after she talks to him about it. Most likely he had experience in the past where he lost a large portion of time due to the clock not registering his touch. The simplest solution? Hit it multiple times. At this point he does it automatically. After she asks him to stop he is trying hard to focus on the game, so he still accidentally multi-taps without really realizing.

she spend her own clock time to get to know him for 90 seconds out of 300 seconds, that's why she's behind.... great video! great connection with people and awesome comeback things i got out of this: 1. professional chess trained players knows the game isn't over until it's over. their rigorous training allows them to have better stamina than casual amateurs - especially end games 2. in his effort to try to win by time, he did not time manage well - there are moves he had enough time to come up with quality play to not allow alex to catch up and end up forcing too many moves too fast and lost. 3. when people ask me how long i play chess, i generally try to play it down to as little time as possible. if i win, i'll look better. so he's doing the opposite, 40+ years of playing and then lost, that a big risk - X-rated man :)

Yup. He beat her. He gave away the advantage because he didnt want to embarras her. Men need to stop this. Beat them properly. Shes good, but dude could have wiped the floor with her. If it was a guy, he would NOT have let him off. But a cute gurl? You let her come back. For what? You still not getting none. He should have wiped her ass out. Too many guys feel sorry for gurls, when they DONT feel sorry for you. Stop letting these chicks win. It was clear when he even said he would help her out. He should not have. This is a game, not real life. You just lost $100 for nothing.

@@joabjohnstone5217 it shows you dont understand chess. He wasnt "hustling" with the double tap. Some guys develop that habit when they play on clock. They just want to make sure they stop their time after they make a play. If he started doing it at the end, then that would je suspicious. But he was doing it LONG before it came down to the end. It just became an issue when SHE was running out of time, which is NOT his problem. He let her win. He said so when she was backed into a corner. He said "ok, i will help you out. I wont punish you or you wont LIKE me." Men dont realize that this girl dresses this way as part of her game. Then distract you with nonsense talk. He could have easily wiped her out and even SHE knew it. Stop letting these pretty girls win.

In the critical position, I think we need Qf8+ Kd7 then Rxc8. Black cannot recapture as the queen is still hanging, along with the e8 bishop. Lots of ways to go wrong there though, nice job complicating a lost position to make the comeback.
